13th Sept: Healing through therapeutic play for dedicated teachers in a special centre.

Salute to these teachers who work tirelessly for the special children. This is the 2nd time we are having a training session to understand special children's emotional and mental well-being better.

Going forward how can we support the children's learning better and meaningful.

7th Sept: Super Skills for Life.
Children from a children's 's home have weekly Super Skills For Life lessons followed by creative Sculpturing.

This is part of Creativity at Heart's program to serve the community. It is important for the children to have healthy mental well-being.

5th Sept: Building blocks and stories

Enhancing the play area with colorful building blocks and 13 children's story books written by children for children.

I started my voluntary work here since July 19, 2024. It's been meaningful especially to seeing the dedicated staff and parents supporting their children with cerebral palsy.

Hope the adolescent will find its way out of the jungle. He told me he wants to save the world which is destroyed by man.

This creative activity helps children to overcome their fear and blast the monsters within. Many children were traumatized by adults during their early childhood.

To see the scary images emerging during session I wonder if the adults knew the harm they have inflicted on children?

Sorted out the toys and prepare what is needed to assist the children in play. Child hugging froggy to distract him from the pain encountered in physiotherapy.

A meaningful session today to be able to assist 4 parents to work with their children before emotions run high.

2nd Aug: Experience in a Snoezelen room...

A meaningful experience for me to be in the Snoezelen room seeing the therapist worked with a child with CP. The environment in the room gave me peace as well.
I salute to the therapist and the mothers who were being there to walk with their CP children, some already for 14 years.

Assisted another child to distract him from pain with story creation and deep breathing while the therapist worked on his legs. He was in so much pain. He told me he had an operation on his left leg and I told him I hear and feel the pain.
I will be assisting teachers and parents through therapeutic play.

The child had a creative fun walk counting every step " satu, dua, tiga, empat, lima > Pusing... Then he started counting in English and gave a big smile. Showed the Star symbol when he hit 10 steps.
