Storage Backdrop | A Subtle Transformation

Introducing a new addition to a spacious living hall in a 15-year-old, 3-storey terrace home. Our client desired more storage and a special corner for their beloved family piano, without overwhelming the family space.

We crafted a subtle yet minimalist storage backdrop, blending monochrome black and grey tones for a neutral, sophisticated setup. The built-in unit cleverly houses the standing piano, seamlessly integrated into the black linear feature. Additionally, we concealed the wall-mounted AC unit above, maintaining a clean and cohesive look.

Our client is thrilled with the ample storage and elegant design we've created!

New Life | We recently breathed new life into a dated 15-year-old terrace house with our latest interior design project. By spray-painting the existing built-in furniture left by the previous owner, we introduced a fresh, modern look without the need for costly replacements. We added cozy ambient lighting and sleek, minimalist wall storage to enhance both mood and functionality. This project shows that great design doesn't always mean starting from scratch; sometimes, it's about repurposing what's already there to create something beautiful within a budget. Bathroom Makeover | We recently revamped three bathrooms in this 15-year-old, 3-storey terrace, giving them a fresh, new, and cozy feel.

Powder Room:
We introduced a complete overhaul with new tiling, cabinetry, and lighting. We also added a storage-heated tank for a cleaner look. The powder room, previously outdated and uninviting, is now a welcoming space for guests.

Master Bath & Ensuite:
For these spaces, we added large mirrors and storage cabinets for extra toiletry storage. We also updated the lighting with spotlights to mimic a luxurious hotel bath. We chose not to change the tiles here, opting instead to enhance the space with custom joinery and improved lighting. This approach helped our client achieve a new home feel without incurring heavy costs.

Kitchen Makeover | Our lovely client purchased a charming 15-year-old terrace, but the bold red kitchen and dimly lit area needed a transformation. As an interior designer and builder, we revitalized the space by keeping the original carcass to save costs and upgraded it with quality, soft-close, durable furniture fittings. We thoroughly cleaned all cabinets and introduced new lighting, creating a bright and inviting atmosphere. Now, the client enjoys every cooking session in their refreshed kitchen! 🌟

Sleep & Study | Similar to our previous post, here’s another lovely bedroom design for a young girl. We retained the original wardrobe and bed frame but gave them a fresh, pristine white finish. Additionally, we added a padded cushion to the bedhead to enhance the cozy feel.

In front of the bed, we introduced a long study table that serves multiple purposes – perfect for homework, book storage, and even as a makeup station for a growing teenager. The open shelving adds an interesting design element to the wall, looking stylish whether filled with books or left minimal.

Bedroom Up | See how we elevate this boy’s bedroom to a new level by injecting fresh colors, repainting existing furniture, and adding brand new lighting and soft furnishings. Sometimes, a complete rebuild isn’t necessary to achieve a fresh, new experience. As interior designers, we aim to provide the best solutions balancing budget, aesthetics, and functionality.

This bedroom is for a 9-year-old boy with growing hobbies and entering his teenage years. We incorporated a neutral and modern grey hue, allowing the room to evolve with his changing interests and collectibles. The study desk, left by the previous owner, was repainted white to give it new life. The wardrobe and bed were also upgraded with quality fittings, extending their lifespan. Our client bought this 15-year-old subsale house, and through our updates, we’ve further increased its value and the longevity of its furnishings.

Kitchen Addition | In revamping this large penthouse, our client faced the challenge of limited storage in the dining area. Our design team was tasked with not only enhancing the storage capabilities but also ensuring the new additions complemented the existing décor seamlessly. We introduced a white storage cabinet, which instantly made the space feel more open and modern, harmonizing perfectly with the existing wood furnishings. To elevate the sophistication, we incorporated a mirror backsplash and a shallow display shelf designed specifically for the client’s prized liquor collection, providing an elegant and functional showcase. On the opposite wall, we installed additional storage, featuring a striking black stone laminate that adds a dynamic contrast to the room, ensuring the design is both practical and visually compelling. This transformation breathes new life into a 20-year-old condo, blending functionality with a fresh, modern aesthetic.

The original layout featured a dual-key condominium, which the client wanted to transform back into a full 3-bedroom residence. Our design approach involved reopening a bedroom door and sealing the original entrance to achieve this. We introduced a palette of dark and grey hues to capture the essence of modern city living, selecting tones that promise to remain timeless.

The dark hues create a cave-like atmosphere, offering a serene retreat where the homeowner can unwind after a busy day. Upon entering, the space reveals a spectrum of grey shades complemented by warm wood textures, which serve as subtle highlights and bring balance to the design. The existing tiled flooring was retained, adding another layer of neutral color.

At the heart of the home, the dining area is anchored by a striking light fixture that not only serves as a focal point but also enhances family bonding over meals and laughter. The design of the TV wall seamlessly connects from the entryway to the balcony, visually extending the space. We strategically incorporated ambient lighting to set various moods in the evening.

In the master bedroom, the en-suite bathroom is cleverly concealed within the wardrobe, and a bespoke display column interrupts the wardrobe's formality. This custom joinery offers both functionality and additional aesthetic appeal, while its linear arrangement creates a flow that guides the user toward a restful slumber.
