SIEW PAU or CHINESE BAKED CHICKEN BUN

Haaa..biasanya dengar or nampak steamed pau atau steamed bun je kan? Meh sini Mommy Chan introduce one of the chinese food / snack to you all😊
These baked chicken buns or commonly known as Siew Pau or Shao Bao have a flaky and buttery crust that’s perfect for a breakfast or tea break. The first Siew Pau yang Mommy Chan tahu adalah dari Seremban Siew Pau ‘芙蓉烧包’. Macam created by them or else, saya tak berapa pasti.
What makes these Siew Pau so special?

It’s in the crust and filling. The crust is made from a combination of 2 types of dough: water and oil. They are normally filled with meat and peas that were cooked down with sauces to create the sweet and savory taste.
Confirm Mommy Chan pernah makan sebab I'm chinese and orang nogori. Tapi masa zaman budak je la makan sebab versi Mommy Chan makan tu versi non halal. Lagipun masa tu masih belum revert to Islam.

WHAT IS LO MAI G*I?

Lo Mai G*i is a cantonese name of glutinous rice with chicken. Or some people may called it as sticky chicken rice.

It is a classic dim sum dish served during yum cha. But of course you can also eat whenever you want like breakfast or dinner. An alternative name in mandarin is Nuo Mi Ji.

The ingredients of Lo Mai G*i are glutinous rice filled with chicken, mushroom sh*take and some seasonings like dark / light soy sauce, pepper, sugar and etc.

In Malaysia we always find Lo Mai G*i will be packed in a small aluminium foil bowl. And then, you will need to 'terbalik kan' the Lo Mai G*i in a plate to enjoy it. Well, tak salah pun nak makan macam mana. So, just go ahead the way you like😆
