-The Story of the Mid-Autumn Festival: The Legend of Chang’e and Hou Yi-
A long time ago, in ancient China, there were ten suns in the sky. These suns rose every day, scorching the earth and drying up the rivers, leaving the people and animals suffering under the unbearable heat. Crops withered, and hunger spread across the land.

Then came a brave and skilled archer named Hou Yi, who was determined to save the people. With his incredible strength and accuracy, Hou Yi climbed to the top of Kunlun Mountain and shot down nine of the suns, leaving only one to shine gently on the earth.

The tradition of lanterns dates back to ancient China and has evolved over time. In the past, lanterns were used to light up the night and guide people, and this practice has become a joyful part of the festival’s modern celebrations.

Lanterns represent light and hope, symbolizing the illumination of the darkness and the bringing of warmth and joy.

Mid-Autumn Festival originates from China, but it has become a widely celebrated festival worldwide.

Children donning spacesuits, their imaginations soaring beyond the bounds of Earth. With wide eyes filled with wonder, they embrace the possibility of exploring distant galaxies and venturing into the unknown, embodying the spirit of curiosity and discovery that propels humanity's quest for the stars.

Understanding space can also deepen children’s appreciation for Earth and its place in the universe 😉

Learning about space can be done in various ways, each offering unique benefits. One of my favourites is hands-on projects! Building our own solar system with various materials provides a multi-sensory experience. Children feel the textures of the materials and even hear the sounds of their creations coming together. This multi-sensory approach significantly enhances the input retention.

Encouraging empathy towards living creatures is important for children's moral development. By interacting gently with bugs, children learn to respect all forms of life and develop empathy towards animals, fostering compassion and kindness.

Touching bugs engages children's tactile senses, promoting sensory development. They learn to distinguish between different textures, shapes, and sizes, enhancing their sensory perception and cognitive skills.
