* Nowadays legal and regulatory environmental requirements to ensure the sustainable of the environment for any existing and new power plant development is becoming more stringent. Power plant utility often find it challenging to expand power supplies and at the same time abide to the stringent environmental regulations. One of the methods to comply with these requirements is through the process of design optimization.
* TNB Research have the capabilities and expertise to conduct the services to determine the optimum thermal power plant design configuration that meet environment and engineering requirements. The optimization encompass the power plant design layout that consists of buffer zones distance, cooling water intake-outfall location, ancillary and auxiliary machinery location chimney height etc that meet the following requirements:
- Environment: land use, air quality, noise quality, risk hazard risk and water quality
- Engineering: cooling water system efficiency demand capacity etc
