Dr Chan Sai Keong 陈世强博士

This is to inform that I had tendered my resignation as the Dean and Associate Professor, Faculty of Business, Information and Human Sciences, at the Infrastructure University of Kuala Lumpur (IUKL). I will move to the "Southern" part to continue my career in August 2024. Will keep you posted.

I worked in Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur for a span of 14 years. I embarked on my career journey as an academic staff member here, where I have been entrusted with significant levels of trust and responsibility.

Today marks a significant milestone in my career journey as I celebrate my promotion to Associate Professor. Two years ago, Dr Norhaiza, Dr Suraya and myself are pursued this advancement but faced setbacks. Today, everyone’s regret can be made up with this recognition.

16 and 17 December 2023 – Attended the following academic conferences (as the capacity of Advisor and Opening Guest)：

The 29th Kuala Lumpur International Business, Economics and Law Conference (KLibel 29)
The 22nd Kuala Lumpur International Communication, Education, Language and Social Sciences (KLiCELS 22)

The conferences were held in hybrid (online and offline) manner. 108 participants from various higher educational institutions and also industry representatives are presenting their research papers/findings.

18 November - IUKL 20th Convocation Ceremony

The 2023 convocation ceremony is successfully held at the Bangi Avenue Convention Centre. Congratulations! There are 3 PhD students (Dr Liu Xiaolian; Dr Sulaiman Khamis and Dr Tan Chia Lun) under my supervision are graduated in this ceremony.

3 November 2023 - IUKL welcomed a delegation from Tongji University, Shanghai (上海同济大学) (led by Prof. Dr Peng Zhenwei) for a courtesy visit.

Dell Global Business Center @ Bukit Tengah, Bukit Mertajam

APEL Q field validation visit as the capacity of external assessor. We had the opportunity to visit Dell’s manufacturing plant, it produces and supplies 60% of Dell’s global supply.

A delegation from Guangdong Industry Polytechnic (GDIP) led by Vice President, Prof. Liao Junjie visited Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) on 17 October 2023.

26 September 2023 – IUKL welcomed a delegation from Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (led by Prof. Dr Setyabudi Indartono) for a courtesy visit. We discussed topics on quality assurance, international accreditation and also academic collaboration.

19 September 2023 (Tuesday) – Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) was delighted to receive a courtesy visit from Kedagaoxin (KDGX) Education Group and Xi’an Kedagaoxin University. A fruitful meeting concluded with potential collaboration between both parties on some academic programmes.

Grateful! We completed the following tasks:
1. Successfully hosted the 1st Malaysia-China Engineering Digital Transformation Summit. I was one of the event project managers.
2. Completed the responsibility as the forum moderator. I was assigned to handle the second forum pertaining to “Belt and Road Initiatives”.
3. Appointed as a mentor of TusStar Malaysia.

27 May 2023 - Klibel 28 and Klicels 21 Conferences

It is a great honor to be the advisor and also plenary speaker of these academic conferences. I am pleased to share some information about digital transformation.

A courtesy visit from Tongji University, Shanghai (上海同济大学) to Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur.

Our collaboration relationship started 20 years ago (2003) and now both parties are working on expanding and reshaping our strategic cooperation.

IUKL delegates are paying a visit to Malaysia Board of Technologists (MBOT) office in Putrajaya. It was a fruitful meeting in regard to accreditation of our technology programmes.

6 May 2023 – The last day of the 3-Days Guangdong Industry Polytechnic (GDIP) Lecturer Training.

Thank you very much to all trainers and participants. Hope to see all GDIP lecturers in Kuala Lumpur in June 2023.

A courtesy visit from Executive College (EC), Sarawak, to Infrastructure University Kuala Lumpur (IUKL) on 5 May 2023.

Currently, EC is running IUKL business programmes via franchising scheme/model. Both top management teams are exploring and discussing more strategic collaborations in future.
