The price of pork (especially pork belly, and prime pork ribs) has gone up more than 20% in the last few months. So it is with great reluctance that we have to revise our prices to match the price of pork. Rumour among the pork butcher's community is that the price will continue to rise until the end of the year, where peak prices are expected to hit RM50 per kg for pork belly, and prime pork ribs.
Good for sharing a rack of ribs. Add side order of potato salad (200g) and coleslaw (150ml) for a complete nutritious meal.
The sticky pork ribs are slow cooked in Malaysian Bakau wood fire until the meat is soft, tender and easy off the bone.
A quarter rack is 4 ribs. Minimum order is 4 quarter racks.

Happy new year friends and supporters. Thank you for your support. We had a very busy New Year's Day and Eve, roasting siuyuk and smoking ribs. Hence this post is a day late. 😁

Siu yuk tips: Use fresh pork belly, chilled, never frozen. Salt the meat generously, then chill dry for the next 24 to 48 hours. Use only premium grade spices to season the meat, before roasting it in 2 heat level stages, to produce soft succulent siu yuk with it's signature crispy crunchy skin.

Mikeyz Grill is proud to announce a new addition to our menu of grilled meats. Fresh pork ribs, soaked in a wet spiced brine, followed by a dry spice seasoning before slow roasting and smoking in a wood fire offset grill. Finished with a glaze of honey and apple cider.
Yields 14 spare ribs and baby back ribs.

The we deliver to you weighs between 800g to 1kg, fortunately leftovers store very well in the freezer. Divide the siu yuk into 4 or more length-wise slices. Wrap tightly with cling wrap, then store it in the freezer. De-frost in the fridge for best results. Check mikeyzgrill facebook or instagram for regular posts on dishes you can cook with siu yuk.

Caramalised Siu Yoke (焦糖炒燒肉) stir fried with garlic and scallions. A delicious way to enjoy leftover .
That is some good knife skills!! Very delicate.
Received your siu yuk, but not eating it till later? Here are a few tips on how to reheat the siu yuk:
1. Remember to remove the plastic cover immediately upon receiving the siu yuk. So that the steam from the meat does not soften the skin's crunchiness.
2. Pre-heat your oven to 200 degrees Celcius.
3. Put the siu yuk into the oven for about 10 to 15 minutes.
4. You can leave the siu yuk in the aluminium tray for convenience, during re-heating.

To order: Click on the "Send WhatsApp" button, message us with your name, order quantity and delivery address. When the delivery date is agreed on, we will give you the bank account number for the payment. Delivery is included for select areas in Klang Valley only. Orders are confirmed by payment. The meat is purchased fresh from the butcher, and aired in the refrigerator for a day before seasoning with a dry rub and left to marinate overnight. Roasting is done in the morning, ready for delivery by noon, 12 pm.
We finally took the first step into the food business. This is something I have always thought about when day dreaming. I want to thank our family and friends for the support and encouragement. Mikey's Grill is now in business. We are starting with the cantonese style roast pork or "siu yuk" [燒肉]. This is done in traditional style, we will share more on how we season and roast this delicious meat, in the next post.
