PENUBUHAN JAWATANKUASA PERHUBUNGAN DAN KETETAPAN KONGRES EKONOMI BUMIPUTERA YANG KE-2
Isnin - 09/09/1968
Pada hari ini dalam tahun 1968, sebuah Jawatankuasa Pembangunan dan Ketetapan Kongres Ekonomi Bumiputra yang kedua telah pun diadakan di Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Kuala Lumpur. Kongres ini diadakan untuk membantu Kerajaan melaksanakan ketetapan kongres dan merancang serta mencari usaha-usaha baru bagi kemajuan Bumiputra dan menjadi asas yang kukuh bagi kemajuan ekonomi bumiputra akan datang.Kongres ini dianggotai oleh 5 orang Menteri dengan dipengerusikan oleh Timbalan Perdana Menteri, Tun Abdul Razak. Di hari penutupnya, Kongres ini telah meluluskan 83 buah usul, termasuk tiga yang penting iaitu:
Penubuhan Syarikat Kewangan Kebangsaan Berhad Bumiputra
Penubuhan Syarikat Ansuran Kebangsaan
Memohon kepada kerajaan supaya dibentuk sebuah Perbadanan Perniagaan dan Perusahaan Bumiputra bagi mengumpulkan wang sebanyak $50 juta ringgit iaitu pinjaman darikerajaan-kerajaan pusat dan negeri dengan tidak dikenakan faedah selama 10 tahun. Tugas-tugas badan ini ialah untuk menjalankan perniagaan dan perusahaan termasuk import dan eksport.

Pada hari ini dalam tahun 1957, DYMM Seri Paduka Baginda Tuanku Sir Abdul Rahman ibni Almarhum Tuanku Muhammad, Yang di-Pertuan Besar Negeri Sembilan dengan rasminya telah ditabalkan sebagai Yang di-Pertuan Agong Persekutuan Tanah Melayu merdeka yang pertama. Istiadat pertabalan yang gilang-gemilang ini telah dilangsungkan di Dewan Tunku Abdul Rahman, Jalan Ampang, Kuala Lumpur dan dihadiri oleh lebih daripada 500 orang jemputan termasuk Raja-Raja Melayu, Sultan Brunei, Gabenor Melaka dan Pulau Pinang, Perdana Menteri, Menteri-menteri Kabinet, tetamu istimewa dari dalam dan luar negeri serta Duke of Gloucester yang mewakili Baginda Queen. Surat perisytiharan Pertabalan Yang di-Pertuan Agong telah dibacakan oleh Tuan Haji Mustapha Albakri, Datuk Paduka Maharajalela yang juga merupakan Penyimpan Mohor Raja-Raja Melayu Persekutuan Tanah Melayu.

Our Story
The UNITEN Information Resource Centre (Formerly known as UNITEN Library) was established in 1978 from small resource center which are from 143,219 includes printed & non-printed material (Putrajaya & Kampus Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah). Provides a variety of innovative study spaces for users.
Consist of two Information Resource Centre (IRC) whereby the main IRC is located at Putrajaya Campus and the IRC branch is located at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus, Pahang (KSHAS). IRC began its operation in 1997. the building consists of 6 levels occupying a total floor area of approximately 18,645.2 square meters.It is among the biggest library in Southeast Asia. The Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Campus IRC was officially launched by Tun Dr.Mahathir Mohamed (our Former Prime Minister) on 4th May 2001. It is located at the South-Eastern part of the State of Pahang. It’s major collection focuses on materials in business and accounting, to support research and teaching for the College of Business Management and Accounting at degree levels.
The UNITEN IRC building was modeled after the IUPUI University library and integrates all the library resources. Both Kampus Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah, Pahang and Putrajaya campus libraries, with the upgraded interior and modern open concept and private layouts, cater to the new concept of study environment.
UNITEN Information Resource Center (IRC) provides a variety of innovative study spaces for student use and was designed to accommodate a diverse learning styles, activities and work preferences.
