It has therefore become expedient that we take note of our gas cylinder expiry date...

GAS CYLINDER SAFETY:

HOW TO KNOW YOUR GAS CYLINDER EXPIRY DATE;

Expired cylinder can explode any time once the expiration date elapses and that makes it a time bomb. Each gas cylinder’s expiry date is coded on the side of the cylinder in alphabetical order. A,B,C,D in quarters.

A is for March, 1st Qtr

B is for June, 2nd Qtr

C is for Sept, 3rd Qtr

D is for Dec, 4th Qtr

There is a two-digit number that follows.. Example: D06.
So if you have D06 on your cylinder, it means that it has expired Dec 2006, and if it is A22, it has expired in March 2022.
If it is C23, it is going to expire in September 2023

Dear Students and travellers from Ghana/Nigeria or other African country, kindly take note when purchasing a Travel ticket:

1. When flying to the UK, kindly avoid KLM, AIRFRANCE, Brussels and other airlines that transit in Europe. None of the European airlines will board you without a schengen visa.

2. When flying to USA, you can use KLM or any of the airlines transiting Europe but make sure you are transiting in only one country and not two, else they won't board you. You need a Schengen visa when transiting in more than one Schengen country.

3. When traveling to Canada, make sure your flight doesn't have any connection through the USA else they won't board you without an American visa. You can also use KLM or AIRFRANCE or any of the flights transiting through Europe.

4. Emirates, Qatar, Ethiopian etc will take you anywhere. No transit visa issues.
