If you are planning to make some delicious macarons, today is your lucky day!

Here are some tips on how to make perfect macarons. We hope you’ll find these tips useful for you! Have fun!

1. Use a baking mat made exclusively for macarons.
2. Use food colouring paste rather than liquid.
3. Slowly and carefully combine everything.
4. Keep in mind that the lesser the better.
5. Halfway through, open the oven door to let steam out.
6. Remove them from the baking mat only when they are completely cool.

Did you know there are two ways on how you can make this delicious treat? If not, not you know.

1. The first is the Italian technique, which includes making a meringue by whisking egg whites with warm sugar syrup. To make a paste, combine the icing sugar and ground almond flour with the egg. This is how the macaron mixture is made.

2. Meanwhile, the French approach requires whisking egg whites until they produce a stiff-peaked meringue, is the second way. The powdered sugar and almond flour are then gradually added and combined until the required consistency is achieved.

1. Fresh macarons were the only food served at Louis XIV’s wedding

Chef Adam presented fresh macarons to the wedding guests during Louis XIV and Marie-wedding Therese's at Saint-Jean-de-Luz in 1660, and it was the only cuisine the guests wanted for the ceremony. As a result, the cookies became the most sought-after treat among the social elite.

2. Catherine De Medicis granddaughter saved from hunger with the help of macarons

In the 16th century, a granddaughter of Catherine De Medicis was said to have been rescued from famine by eating macarons in Nancy. After two nuns cooked macarons as a means of payment for their home while seeking shelter during the French Revolution, the town became famous for them.

Well, Maison Rannou-Métivier, one of the oldest macaron bakers located in Montmorillon. It was founded in 1920 and has since grown into a large museum. For the past 150 years, the classic Montmorillon macaron recipe and ingredients have remained unchanged.

I wish I could go and visit the museum as well!🥺 I am pretty sure their way of making it is very special! 🤩🤩🤩

Here is one of the facts of macaroon you probably didn't know.

'Macaroon' is derived from the Italian word maccarone, which means 'paste.' It was first introduced to France in the 16th century, allegedly by Queen Catherine De Medici, who brought the delicious treat to the country. Her chef's macarons were merely a little dessert with a soft middle and a crunchy outside shell at the time. These macaron shells served as the foundation for the dessert we've all come to know and love.
