Despite their strong Mercedes ties, Brabus has managed to give the Rolls-Royce Cullinan "an unmistakable 1-Second-Wow Effect." The British ultra-luxury crossover has been transformed into a carbon-clad Toyota GR Century SUV clone in an amazing move.

Known as the Brabus 700 Blue Sky, the model now boasts a new front fascia with honeycomb mesh inserts and wider intakes. Along with horizontal daytime running lights and trapezoidal embellishments, Brabus also incorporated these to resemble the Japanese crossover.

Further back, we can make out flashy fender flares and a Widestar carbon fiber body kit. In addition, 24-inch Brabus Monoblock M Platinum Edition wheels that were created especially for the crossover join them.

The Cullinan has been updated on the back end as well, with a new spoiler and a distinctive bumper. In addition to cutouts for a black stainless steel sports exhaust system, the latter features an integrated diffuser.

The front splitter and the hood and front fascia's carbon fiber flourishes complete the attention-grabbing features. Additionally, the tuning company inserted a SportXtra module, which reduces the ride height by about 25 mm, or an inch.

The interior, which has Blue Sky quilted leather, indicates where the crossover gets its name. There are several Brabus emblems scattered throughout, along with carbon fiber trim and shadow gray accents. Additionally available to buyers are LED sill plates, aluminum pedals, and a bespoke starry sky headliner with a quilted shell pattern.

Brabus mentioned that the crossover can reach an electronically regulated top speed of 155 mph (250 km/h) after accelerating from 0-62 mph (0-100 km/h) in five seconds. However, he did not elaborate on the improvements.

With its Luxury Like No Other event, Mercedes-Benz Malaysia (MBM) concluded a busy 2024 by introducing not one but six new vehicles, the majority of which were from Mercedes-AMG. After reading our in-depth examination of the GLC350e and GLC43 Coupé, the facelifted G63, the GLE63S (both normal and Coupé versions), and the SL63, it's time for you to take a look at the vehicles.

To refresh your memory, at the ceremony, the RM425,888 GLC350e Coupé plug-in hybrid was introduced. It also has a 2.0-liter M254 turbo engine with 204 PS and 320 Nm and an electric motor with 129 PS and 440 Nm. It is an alternative to the standard GLC350e. On the WLTP test, the all-electric range stays at 131 km with the same 31.2 kWh battery. The system's overall power is rated at 313 PS and 550 Nm of torque.

The more powerful Mercedes-AMG GLC43 4Matic+ Coupé, which costs RM498,888 and has a 2.0-liter M139l four-pot engine modified from the A45S, joins it. It produces 500 Nm and 421 PS. With the addition of a 14 PS/150 Nm belt-driven starter-generator (BSG), this 48-volt mild hybrid mill can accelerate from zero to 100 km/h in 4.8 seconds.

Replaced by the outgoing W464 model, the facelifted W465 G63 is also new. It is the most costly car in this market, retailing for a hefty RM1,948,888. With the addition of a 20 PS/200 Nm BSG, the legendary 4.0-liter M177 twin-turbocharged V8 engine still produces 585 PS/850 Nm, allowing the boxy geländewagen to reach 100 km/h in 4.3 seconds. The long-overdue implementation of the Mercedes-Benz User Experience (MBUX), cross-linked hydraulic dampers, and small aesthetic adjustments are among the changes.

Additionally, the GLE63S 4Matic+ and GLE63S 4Matic+ Coupé have been announced. They are priced at RM1,191,888 and RM1,229,888, respectively. The top-dog V167/C167 GLE, which combines a staggering 612 PS/850 Nm version of the M177 with a 22 PS/250 Nm BSG, is being offered for the first time in Malaysia. The leviathan can now reach a top speed of 280 km/h and complete the century sprint in an only 3.9 seconds.

Finally, the SL63 4Matic+, which costs RM1,898,888 and was introduced last year, has joined the SL43. With a 585 PS/800 Nm M177, it outperforms the less powerful variant by 204 PS and 320 Nm, finishing within 3.6 seconds of the century sprint. This vicious roadster has a top speed of 315 km/h.

October saw BYD sell 500,526 electric passenger cars, up 20% from the 417,603 sold the month before and 66% from the 301,095 sold the year before.

From January to October, BYD sold 3,236,927 electric vehicles, a 36% increase over the same time last year. 3.6 million vehicles are expected to be delivered by BYD by 2024. The aim was boosted to 4 million units in September, although the corporation denied this internally.

New energy vehicles (NEVs), which are Chinese terminology for plug-in hybrid and all-electric vehicles (BEVs and PHEVs), are represented in the sales data that was made public. In particular, BYD does not offer any FCEVs, and it also includes FCEVs (hydrogen), although sales of these are essentially nonexistent in China. In April 2022, BYD stopped selling all-in-combustion vehicles.

Horse Powertrain Limited, an internal combustion engine (ICE) joint venture between Renault and Geely, will supply the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine for the upcoming third-generation Mercedes-Benz CLA.

The new engine will generate 266 lb-ft of torque and 250 horsepower, the report claims. These numbers represent an improvement over the existing CLA 250's 221 horsepower and 258 lb-ft of torque. The engines will be manufactured in China, according to Fast Technology, but due to emissions regulations, the catalytic converter will be fitted in Germany.

Announced in November 2020, this partnership is the first product of this new engine. Geely and Mercedes-Benz stated that their next-generation four-cylinder engines would be the result of a collaborative initiative, with Geely handling fabrication while the two companies share development. Another firm, Horse Powertrain, was established in May 2024 as a joint venture between Geely and Renault. It inherited both automakers' internal combustion and hybrid power system technologies.

This Mercedes-Benz engine is anticipated to be supplied by Horse to other automakers, including as Volvo, Nissan, and Mitsubishi.Benz and Geely have secret connections, despite their apparent odd partnership. Less than 10% of Mercedes-Benz is owned by Li Shufu, the founder of Geely.
