They don’t make furniture like they used to; there are no MDF panels on this vintage console/cabinet. It has undergone several transformations, with ups and downs in the restoration process, but it’s finally complete.

Bringing the amazing work on the door to life, we also added a vintage door handle from the 60s, salvaged from an old dresser.

Shears, who was known for his silhouette paintings or prints. These two prints came with their owners from England. If anything, the frames themselves cost a few bobs.

This coffee table recently appeared as a supporting piece of furniture in a movie set (“Sabung”) that was shot in KK. Retro 1960's red cobra rotary telephone made by Ericsson, made in Sweden.

What is this 'shoelast' for? Most people would ask when they see it. This particular one found in our shop is a vintage shoelast, which is from the UK and made of wood.

Let’s simplify its use. It’s like a mould used in shoe making.
Traditionally, cordwainers, leather shoe makers, would hand-carve them using hardwood, just like this one. Basically, if you are rich, you can have a few of these shoelasts for each shoe design. It will be your bespoke shoelast. How cool is that?? Obviously, this is an old-fashioned method of shoemaking. Presently, only a few cordwainers would use this traditional method.

So what can you do with it now? Well you can use it as a card holder for display (if you own a shop) or you can also use it as a frame holder. It can make for an interesting home decor and conversation piece. And there are many many ways you can use it too! For example, perhaps as towel holders or jewellery holders for your necklaces.

We have a pair of them in the shop - you can buy them as is or, if you’d like us to help you make something out of those, we certainly offer that service too.
