Electronic Numerical Integrator and Computer (ENIAC) was the world’s first general-purpose computer introduced to the world in 1946.

During World War II, a group of women called the ENIAC Programmers were hired by the US Army to program the ENIAC computer. These women were pioneers in the field of computer science. They learned how to program the ENIAC from scratch and developed many of the programming techniques that are still used today.

Today parts for the massive computer can be found at the School of Engineering and Applied Science at the University of Pennsylvania.
