The Environmental Management course (from 5th to 9th August 2024) jointly organised by IQM and SQOA at SQOA’s Office in Suria Inanam has commenced today.

The course is lead by Mr Mustapha Mohd Lip.

Day 2 of Shot Firer Course at Wong Kwok Quarry.

Two-day Shot-Firer Practical exam course begins today at SQOA’s Office in Suria Inanam.

Datuk President Ringo Wong, Deputy President Mimi Hong, and Committee Member Alexander Yan attended the "SESI LIBAT URUS KAJIAN BAGI PENGENAAN FI BERKAITAN DENGAN PEMPROSESAN LAPORAN PENILAIAN KESAN KEPADA ALAM SEKELILING (ENVIRONMENT IMPACT ASSESSMENT, EIA) from 14 - 16 July 2024 at Hotel Raia, Kota Kinabalu, Sabah.

Our Annual General Meeting (AGM) was a resounding success with engaging guest speakers from government and private sectors. The guest speakers provided insightful and thought-provoking presentations, adding significant value to the event. Their expertise and engaging discussions contributed to a dynamic and memorable AGM. Overall, the event fostered a sense of community and enthusiasm that will drive us forward in the coming year.

SQOA made a contribution of RM10K to the Montfort 25th Anniversary Charity dinner held at the Grand Ballroom, Magellan Sutera Harbour Resort on 15 June 2024.

Hap Seng Quarry Divison COO Mr. Andrew Talling and their senior management staff treated President, Advisors and Committee of Sabah Quarry Association for a scrumptious lunch at Mayflower today.

Being the biggest quarry stone producer in Sabah, Hap Seng plays an important role in the advancement of the quarry industry here. It is always a pleasure to be able to exchange ideas with their senior management staff.

We would like to extend our heartfelt gratitude to the honorable guests and fellow members for attending our 54th SQOA Annual General Meeting on 16th June 2023. The AGM would not have been so lively without your active participation.

We want to especially thank the Penolong Pengarah Kanan (Galian) Mr. Robert Robin Millip of Jabatan Tanah Dan Ukur for coming to grace this event despite of his busy schedule. Our members were enlightened from his presentation on the topic of "The Roles Of Chief Quarry Inspector (Director of JTU)". But most importantly, we were delighted to see deep fellowship and exchanging of experience among the attendees.

There would be a round table discussion among various bodies and departments like JKR Pan Borneo, JMG, SBA, IEM, ACEM, contractors, consultants etc.

Over the years, the late Mr KM Tan has contributed greatly to our association and the quarry industry.
