Porsche Club Malaysia just wrapped up our first New Members Lunch of 2024, and it was a blast! With over 20 people in attendance, including excos and new members, we had a fantastic time connecting over great coffee and delicious food.

Our new members even got special welcome gifts! It was an afternoon full of camaraderie, and we’re thrilled to have new faces in the PCM family.

Throwback to last weekend’s epic Merdeka Day celebrations with our Porsche Club Malaysia family in both KL and JB! All three events received an overwhelming response, and were filled with pride, camaraderie, and love for our country.

A huge thank you to our PCM family and friends for the incredible support and patriotism. We couldn’t have asked for a better way to celebrate Malaysia’s independence together!

Porsche Club Malaysia kicked off September with an epic morning drive to a durian farm plus rainforest resort at Bukit Tinggi! Some of us took on the thrilling winding B-roads, while others enjoyed the scenic route. Upon arrival, we were greeted with a truckload of top-quality durians and mangosteens, fresh from the farm!

With 60 cars and 90 participants, it was a fantastic day of fun, food, and fellowship, as old friends reconnected and new faces joined the mix.

Porsche Club Malaysia celebrated Merdeka Day in style with an unforgettable evening drive on 31st August! Together with Porsche 996 Fraternity Malaysia and led by our very own committee member, Raja Zainal Badri, we cruised through the historical sites of KL, soaking in the sights.

Our convoy then gathered for a memorable photograph session in Dataran Merdeka before wrapping up the day with a delicious dinner at Nasi Lemak Burung Hantu 222. What a perfect way to honor our nation’s independence!

Porsche Club Malaysia’s JB team had an incredible Cars & Coffee session with other car groups on the evening of 30th August 2024! The turnout was fantastic, as you can see in the photos. It was a great time of fellowship, and we made plenty of new friends.

Exciting things are on the horizon as we continue to grow PCM’s family in JB. Stay tuned!

Porsche Club Malaysia had an unforgettable golfing session yesterday at Templer Park Golf Resort with 20 passionate golfers! We kicked off the day under beautiful weather, but midway through, heavy rain tried to slow us down. Yet, that didn’t stop us from powering through and completing all 18 holes.

It was a truly memorable day on the course!

Porsche Club Malaysia just had our first New Members Drive of 2024 by driving up the stunning Bukit Tinggi route! Organized by our veteran Drive Director, Kenneth Lim, and expertly assisted by PCM’s certified drive leaders, Eldred Low, Kevin Phua, TJ, and Fezzy, this exhilarating hill-climb took our new members up the scenic winding roads of Berjaya Hills.

We wrapped up the day with a wonderful breakfast, where we bonded with our new members over great food and even better fellowship. Welcome to the PCM family!

(JB) 24th Aug 2024 - Porsche Club Malaysia had a wonderful morning drive around JB, covering the scenic routes through Kluang, and Batu Pahat! We kicked off the day with a thrilling drive to Kluang and had a breakfast stop at Talula Hill Farm Resort, where the scenery was absolutely breathtaking.

The drive ended with a delicious lunch at Seri Medan Batu Pahat, making it the perfect start to the weekend. Good vibes, great company, and amazing roads – what more could you ask for?

24th Aug 2024 - Porsche Club Malaysia had an exhilarating spirited drive this Saturday morning through the iconic winding roads of the T**ikong route! The thrill of the curves was matched only by the delicious breakfast that followed, and we kept the good vibes and fellowship rolling at Apacaba Coffee before wrapping up the day.

Porsche Club Malaysia just wrapped up our second weekly badminton session this evening, and it was a smash hit! We had 15 players on the court, including a few national and state players, making it an intense and fun-filled session.

The energy was electric, and the camaraderie was unbeatable! Can't wait for the next round.

Porsche Club Malaysia hit the track early this morning with three teams competing in the Supercar Owners Go-Kart Championship at X-Park Sunway Serene! During the qualifying round, two of our teams secured an incredible 1st and 2nd place.

But the 2-hour endurance race had its twists and turns – PCM Team 1 was fiercely battling for 1st place until a technical difficulty with their go-kart caused an unfortunate setback. Despite the challenge, our teams fought hard and finished 4th, 5th, and 7th out of 10 teams.

We’re ready to come back stronger for the next and final round on 21st September at X-Park Sunway Serene. Mark your calendars and come support our teams!

🌧️🚗 Despite the heavy rain, Porsche Club Malaysia members braved the weather and drove up to Sepang F1 Circuit to witness the heart-pounding action of Round 11 of the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia endurance race! With 29 cars battling it out on a very wet track, the race was packed with thrilling moments that had us on the edge of our seats.

Our local prodigy, Nazim Azman, delivered an impressive performance, securing a well-earned 3rd place! 🥉💪

A huge thank you to Sime Darby Auto Performance for inviting us and providing top-notch hospitality throughout the day. It was an unforgettable experience!

🏁🏎 Porsche Club Malaysia is revving up for motorsport glory at the Supercar Owners Go-Kart Championship! 🚥 Our club has sent three fierce teams into the mix, and with four race dates in total, it's been an intense ride so far!

Out of the ten teams racing in this tournament, we're proud to share that Porsche Club Malaysia secured an impressive third place in the last two races, which took place on 25th May and 22nd June. 🏆 But we're not stopping there!

To clinch the top spot on the leaderboard by the end of the tournament, we need nothing less than a first-place finish in the next two races. The pressure is on, but we know our teams are up for the challenge! 🔥

🚗✨ Porsche Club Malaysia’s Epic Convoy to Kuantan 188 Tower! 🚗✨

On the 4th of August 2024, our PCM family took to the roads with an incredible convoy of OVER 50 stunning cars, all headed to Kuantan for a day to remember! 🌟

Early in the morning, we gathered in Gambang where we were joined by an entourage of police es**rt, ensuring our journey was smooth and safe. The excitement was palpable as we made our way to the iconic Kuantan 188 Tower, where our beauties were lined up for a very special guest. 🤩

In the afternoon, we had the honor of meeting Sultan Abdullah Ri’ayatuddin Al-Mustafa Billah Shah! His Majesty arrived to greet us, and we were thrilled to present him with a special gift from our newly appointed club president, Datuk Tho Yow Yin. It was a moment of pride and joy for all of us! 👑🎁

Following the meet and greet, we enjoyed a delightful lunch before heading to the Royal Pahang F3000 Powerboat Race. Watching the thrilling race alongside the Sultan was an experience we’ll cherish forever! 🚤🏁

🏁🏆 What an exhilarating start to the 2024 Supercar Owners’ Go-Kart Championship! Porsche Club Malaysia was out in full force, sending three stellar teams to represent us at X-Park Sunway Serene on May 25th, 2024.

Our talented teams didn’t hold back, showcasing unmatched skill and determination throughout the intense 2-hour endurance race. Despite facing challenges and kart damages, they pushed on relentlessly. The result? A phenomenal finish with our teams claiming 3rd, 6th, and 7th place positions at the podium!

Hats off to all our racers - Hadri Haris, Iskandar, Jimmy Lim, Bryan Tan, Darren Chang, Edmond Low, Eldred Low, Kevin Phuah, and Julian Goh - for their unwavering effort and sheer passion on the track. The grit and spirit were truly inspiring!

Porsche Club Malaysia Enriches Your Porsche Experience

Our Drive of the Year merged into DRIVE TOGETHER which brought 3 Porsche Clubs together : Vietnam, Malaysia and Singapore. Porsche Club Vietnam embarked on an 18 day, 6405km journey from Saigon to Cambodia, Thailand and crossing over to Malaysia via the Kedah Immigration and Customs. Of course with full Malaysian hospitality, our fellow Malaysians welcomed PCV at the border. PCV continued their drive over to Kuala Lumpur and joined PCM for lunch the next day at KLGCC.

Our PCM drivers and members welcomed the 12 PCV cars, drivers and accompanying guests at KLGCC. PCM President Dato Derrick Lim welcomed PCV President Sanh Le and members to Malaysia.

PCV prepared special gifts to the PCM Organising Committee. Exciting days at the Porsche Club Indonesia 🇮🇩 Golf Invitational with Porsche Club Malaysia 🇲🇾 held in Jakarta!

12 players on each team, featuring 2 PCI and 2 PCM members per flight. Our PCM representatives flew into Jakarta ready to take on Sentul Highlands Golf Club and Damai Indah Golf - P*K Course.

Congratulations to Porsche Club Malaysia for being crowned the winner of this friendly inter-Porsche Club country challenge.

Introducing the Porsche Club Malaysia Convoy Leader Program (CLP 2024). Led by the Drive Directors, they have completed 3 sessions this year so far, driving from KL to different locations in Negeri Sembilan.

Porsche Club Malaysia, the only Porsche Club officially licensed by Porsche AG, held our Annual General Meeting on 30 July 2023.

PCM President Dato’ Derrick Lim delivered the 2022/2023 Committee Report for the 2022 term (Aug 22 - Jul 23). Highlighting the exclusive invitations by Porsche AG Germany to our PCM members to attend the Global 75th Anniversary celebrations in Stuttgart & Hockenheimring and24h Le Mans France with Porsche AG.

Summarising key milestones such as the Porsche Carrera Cup Asia and Porsche Club Malaysia Parade celebrating 75years of Porsche, PCM Classic Chapter, 70 Porsche cross state drive to the launch of Porsche Centre Johor Bahru, PCM-Royal Malaysian Police KL Golf Invitational, DOTY 2022 spanning from KL to Phuket and back. Not forgetting our CSR initiatives raising close to RM50k to Kiwanis Down Syndrome Foundation & Free Food Society.

Totalling 32 activities/events rolled out during this past year. We thank Sandra Kumar for his term as Honorary Auditor and congratulate Datin Amy Wong and re-appointed Jesmond Lau as PCM’s 2023 Honorary Auditors.

More global Porsche 75th anniversary celebrations : 24 hours Le Mans race on Jun 10 & 11 in France. An extremely special
weekend as 24h Le Mans celebrates its 100th Anniversary and Porsche, its 75th.

This endurance-focused sports car race is held annually near the town of Le Mans, France. It is widely considered to be one of the world's most prestigious races, and is one of the races that form the Triple Crown of Motorsport. This is a race between car manufacturers to test their new tech and engines.

Unlike other car races, the 24h of Le Mans is won by the car that covers the greatest distance in 24 hours. The cars on this track are able to achieve speeds of 366 km/h (higher than F1) and has reached 407 km/h on the Mulsanne Straight in 1988!

Porsche Club Malaysia was honoured to be part of this milestone event and truly represented by our President Dato Derrick Lim, member Datin Dr Caryn Fung and Deputy Director Munas van Boonstra.

The biggest highlight of the race was watching the race from the private pit lounge with Dr Wolfgang Porsche & the Porsche family members and key Porsche execs, right above the Porsche Pit.

The Global Porsche 75th anniversary continued at the Porsche Experience Center in Hockenheimring on Jun 10 & 11 under the motto “Festival of Dreams”. Our Porsche Club Malaysia members attended this exclusive and by invite event and enjoyed how the circuit turned into one huge celebration, joining other Porsche Club members from worldwide and other fellow Porsche enthusiasts.

Much thanks to our PCM members present at the celebrations in Germany, Porsche Club Malaysia was truly represented.

This event had the largest Porsche Cars & Coffee gathering, hospitality lounge, lots of performances at the Dreamers Stage and of course the 24 hours Le Mans live broadcast.

It was truly an honour for our PCM members to attend this Porsche milestone. Stay tuned for more 75 years anniversary programmes of the year.
