We wanted to update you on the recent incident posted on Lemon8. Our original post has been taken down, respecting both the writer and Lemon8, who have also removed their posts. Unfortunately, both parties faced harsh backlash, and we’re striving to avoid any negativity.

In our diverse community, we understand and respect different practices and beliefs, especially in Malaysia with its rich cultural tapestry. Our top priority is to create an inclusive and welcoming space for everyone. Acknowledging that “pork-free” doesn’t necessarily mean “Muslim-friendly,” we’ve consistently sourced our meat from halal suppliers since the beginning.

We’d like to emphasize that we don’t serve alcohol and it’s not included in our cakes and desserts. We take these concerns seriously, ensuring our food and space remain friendly to all. In light of this incident, we encourage cafe goers to check with our crew members if anything is unclear or dissatisfactory, so we can better serve everyone. Our goal is for everyone stepping out of the cafe to be in a positive and happy state.

As a token of appreciation for your ongoing support, we’re offering a free Chicken Floss Bak Kwa Croffle with the purchase of Mentaiko Fried Chicky. Simply show us this post! You should have ask our crew if we use halal ingredient and we’ll be able to show you our halal certified ingredient. Kucing tak nak layan tak pe, cafe crew mesti layan when comes to serious issue. Tak yah segan-segan, our crew is definitely friendlier than our cats. 😹

Maybe it’s the combination of our Poppy fried chicken with torched mentaiko and tobikko that may not suit everyone’s taste. But you have to try to know, itu ayam ke benda lain?
