ENOKU's recent initiative, funded by Yayasan Bursa Malaysia, is all about creating sustainable employment opportunities for Persons with Disabilities. From August 21st to September 8th, 2023, we were on a mission to make a difference!
📚 The program featured intensive classroom training covering crucial skills like Mental Resilience, Communication, Resume Building, and more, equipping PWDs with essential life and employability skills.
💬 We had an inspiring guest speaker from PERSOLKELLY sharing insights on employee rights – knowledge that empowers our participants in their employment journeys.
🙌 But the heart of the program was the two-week On-the-Job Training phase, where participants proposed and executed their own projects. Let's dive into the innovative projects they created:
🚀 Opportunect: Connecting PWD job seekers through ENOKU to unlock job opportunities.
🚌 Kembara OKU: Empowering PWDs to use public transportation independently with the help of tour guides.
💼 Jobless: A platform showcasing PWD job seekers to potential employers, fostering entrepreneurship.
👏 Eight dedicated participants successfully completed the training, and we got to understand their unique abilities beyond the interview room. They even had a fantastic field trip to PETROSAINS!
🌈 In conclusion, ENOKU is making strides in achieving Sustainable Development Goals for inclusivity and employment. Our commitment to bridging the employment gap is commendable, and we can't wait for more transformative initiatives in the future.

📚 10 incredible individuals with disabilities successfully completed their On-the-Job Training (OJT) phase in our first batch! 🏆 Their determination proves that with opportunities, everyone can shine.

Join our Beading Workshop, a collaboration between ENOKU and manekNya! Discover the art of contemporary Peranakan beading and learn from skilled artisans and expert shoemakers in Malaysia.
Training will be conducted by manekNya's own experts, providing you with the knowledge and skills needed to create beautiful beaded items. Plus, this workshop is an opportunity for you to generate income while pursuing your passion!
We'll be announcing the time and venue soon, but please note that the workshop will take place on weekdays in the Klang Valley area. To participate, you'll need to attend a minimum of 8 sessions.
