Last night, we popped by Malaysia X Thailand Honda Fest Mini Meet Up at KSL Esplanade Mall, Klang. The Honda guys sure know what's up! 😎

Random lights, shapes and textures from various shoot that we have done over the years. Sometimes we are too focus on the car (subject) that we forget the surrounding environment plays equally huge role in making a complete image.

Flashback Friday : .14 ‘s 180SX looking clean and classy before it was sacrificed to be the drift missile that we all know and love today.

Not often you see this V12 machine anymore on our roads.

Sure, the sharp body lines and huge vents and wings made the Aventador looks super fierce but Murcielago’s smoother bodylines are just hard to not like. As classy and timeless as it can be.

Its wheely hot outside these days. Stay hydrated everyone!

In the mood for red cars ♥️

It has been awhile since we took out of rig equipments. Back when we rajin to set up and shoot for few hours just to get a couple of perfect shots 💯

Apologies for our inactivity the couple of days. We have been off the grid to get in mood for .my happening end of this month!

We took out some of our friend’s cars from .glanz.detailing and .studio for a lil bit of adventure and reconnect with nature.

In these days of fast paced life, we finally paused and say - no rush 😆.

Various Type R generations that have graced our page over the years and we are lucky to be able to have a go at all of it, minus the EP3 Type R.

Despite Honda frequently being stigmatised world wide for its racer boy image often associated with its loud exhaust, you can’t just deny how good the Type R driving feel is. It is also probably why so many race team still stick to Honda chassis especially the FD2R for their chosen weapon in Sepang.

The FD2R, to us, is still our top favourite Civic Type R among all, but we’ll revisit this opinion once we get the chance to drive the new FL5 more in depth.

There are some things that others outside the car community wont get.

Why would we spend hours cleaning and detailing our cars while we can get it done quicker by sending to the shop.

Why would we spend our savings on parts although we know it’ll probably a big financial mistakes.

Why would we spend hours with fellow enthusiasts in poorly lit parking lot when we can get comfy at home.

Why would we wait months to finally see the parts that we order on our front door when we can get much quicker alternative elsewhere.

Why would we love to just sit and stare at our cars even if we have seen it daily.

Why would we love the exhaust note our car make when its probably why we are legally deaf before hitting 40s.

We love to listen to all these ‘whys’ from our fellow enthusiasts hence why we started Man & Machine series when we first started NoEqual.co.

And we will still continue to produce this series in 2024.

Who should we start with?

A Trophy To Win Them All - Renault Sport Megane Trophy R

Manufacturers are always after the hot hatch segment since the day it hatched. A ludicrous amount of power in a small econobox paired with a dynamic chassis is basically the proven recipe for one of these.

Cue in the Renault Sport Mégane 275 Trophy-R, a direct response to a competitor who clocked the ‘Fastest FWD Production Car’ at the Nordschleife. With a time of 7:54.36, the Mégane was 4 seconds quicker than the reigning Seat Leon Cupra 280.

Featuring an Akrapovič titanium exhaust system from factory increasing the power output to 271 bhp. Öhlins dampers, 19-inch Speedline Turini and Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 tyres were among the factory upgrades. With Recaros and lightweight batteries, it shed 101kg in excess weight.

Power makes it fast but lightness makes it quick!

We had a set of Michelin Pilot Sport 5 to be fitted on a Nissan Skyline R32 GT-R and we only had the car for one day! We check out the PS5s and try to understand why these tires makes so much sense on a JDM legend like the Nissan Skyline!

Just a couple of months ago, we had the keys to a Nissan Skyline GT-R, what better way to make this 30 year old JDM legend even better than when it was new?

Since tires are probably the most bang for buck improvements that you can get, we decided to slap on a set of brand new Michelin Pilot Sport 5 on the BNR32 and see what the fuss is all about!

No Ordinary Taxi — 1JZ-Swapped Toyota Altis

Be careful the next time you step out of the airport at Bangkok, you may just find yourself strapped to a 1JZ-powered Toyota Altis disguised as a taxi!

Started life as a Nissan Cefiro underneath, this taxi was initially a drift car before graduating to the role of a stunt car where it was rebodied into an Aston Martin before it takes the humble role of a Toyota Altis taxi.

Built by the folks at Infinite Motorsport, this monster of a taxi is definitely not to be messed with.

We might have been obsessing over the new FL5 Type-R as of late. The aura that it emits is totally different than the FK8. While the FK8 looks more edgy, fierce and 'nakal', the FL5 is a bit more refined, bubbly and a bit more on the classy side. The bulge on the rear fender really adds so much character to the profile, if observe from rear. But you wouldn't notice how wide the car is until you found that it is only a few mm narrower than R35 GTR.

More and more units started to be seen driving on our streets. We can't wait to see how far this platform can be pushed by tuners, workshops and drivers on Sepang.

Das Treffen 8

Our love for Porsches go beyond borders and for the second time this year, we made our way to Bangkok, Thailand for Das Treffen 8. The largest gathering of Porsches in Southeast Asia with owners and enthusiasts coming from all over the region.

As an annual tradition, a bunch of owners from Malaysia will make their 1,500km pilgrimage to the Land of a Thousand Smiles for one day with other like-minded enthusiasts, making it 618 Porsches in attendance.

While our trip to Thailand has not come to an end, we hope that you enjoy some of our favourite picks from Das Treffen 8.

Every abandoned cars out there, deserved their own second chance at life and loved by its builder/owner. Here's an interesting one to share.

This Lotus previous life almost ended being abandoned and neglected by the previous owner, until one fateful day, Alvin decided that he wanted get his hands on it and offered the car a second chance to be enjoyed by a rightful enthusiast.

After successfully revived the car with its new and menacing look, Alvin decided the original Rover 1.8 engine just wasn't cutting it for him, who is more accustomed to many other better performing engine. Out with the Rover, in with the K20 engine that was sourced from an Integra DC5 Type R.

The decision to go this route was rather an easy one for him as it was a proven engine if he needed the extra performance to attack the track while being reasonably reliable if he needs to drive it often. In fact, as soon as the transplant was completed, he took the car for a quick trip to Krabi as run in phase for the car and it came back home in one piece! Mission accomplished!

We were offered the chance to drive it around for a bit, an offer that we couldn't refuse and we enjoyed the time we had with it although we didn't get to test it to its limit. Hopefully we can revisit our experience again once the new engine is in (another K engine).
