The process of taking a design to the next level often isn't what is seen in the end. This small but experimental project was our venture into conspiracy theories and going into the unknown. Some unbuilt proposals that tickle the mind.

What if tacos were actually made in washing machines....

Throw back to Archidex 2022. Our pavilion for Sandor was inspired by the inner workings of planes and surfaces. Warm primary tones set against the cool tones of the brand set within a series of white frames.

Our sleeping beauty project; we had been approached by to redesign their flagship outlet in since before the pandemic. This slow simmer of a project played with sizes and proportions. Being a plus sized fashion brand, we wanted to play with scale and texture to create intimate moments throughout the store.

Inspired by the daily statement a bag can make, Tracey's first store seeks to empower and support buyers through bold and simple forms. Taking inspiration from the process of getting ready, it looks at the process of leaving the home whether for work, errands or leisure.

It's not often that we put on our suits and attend glitzy events. But yesterday was an exception. had won the award for Excellence in Conservation and Adaptive Reuse by . We were humbled to have received this award and are truly thankful for it.

It made us look back at the hard work and effort that the and APW team had work together on over the years. From data collection to VR simulations to many many workshops, this project has been the countless hours of a dedicated team who wanted to push boundaries in Malaysia.

We are thankful for the trust that and his team in us to execute this and build upon it. To the pow-lings before, current and in the future; thank you for your dedication and hardwork. It is not unnoticed. To the partners that have come on board and contributed in any shape and form, thank you.

We always say that we don't design for the awards. But I'm not gonna lie, it does feel good. Cheers to the future. May we all keep pushing boundaries for exciting times ahead.

Back in 2020, we presented,”THE INTERMISSION,” an interactive survey with to understand the pulse of the community. The findings culminated into the newly transformed spaces and programming at APW.

Revisiting a 21-bedroom confinement center we designed for anchored around a modular, yet domesticated lounge and dining system.

Working with an existing shophouse 10ft at its narrowest, our newly designed bar for .kl is an urban cavern composed by valleys, nooks and facets accentuated with dramatic lighting.

In our aspiration to contribute to the creative industries in Cambodia, Team Raintree is thrilled to introduce another special edition of Design Dialogue @ Raintree, where we present leading voices in our regional community to share their experience and industry knowledge. In this edition, co-hosted with Urbanland, we invite creatives from POW IDEAS, a Kuala Lumpur based design studio, to reveal insights from their design magic of material exploration, typologies and adaptive reuse.

“CHROMASCAPES”

The design for “STORIES”- a colour exhibition for is a journey through a landscape of colours and moment of stumbling upon a glasshouse. Man-made surfaces are intertwined with real and abstract forms of nature through layers, hues and volumes to create an immersive chroma-journey.
