CTKS will be celebrating the annual Navarathiri Celebrations from 3 Oct 2024 to 11th Oct 2024. Navarathiri is the vibrant and spiritually significant festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, Goddess Lakshmi and Goddess Saraswathi. This nine-day festival symbolises the victory of good over evil.
Do join us as we offer prayers and celebrate the triumph of good over evil..
Prayers start at 7pm followed by dance performances by SSDB Arts and Cultural Academy.
All are welcome. Admission is free.

Chandraghanta Maa is worshipped on the third day of Navratri. The goddess mounts the tigress and is depicted with ten hands. She also carries a lotus flower, arrow, dhanush, and japa mala (prayer beads) in her four right hands and keeps the fifth right hand in Abhaya Mudra. She carries trishul, gada, sword, and a kamandal in her four left hands and keeps the fifth left hand in Varada Mudra.

Brahmacharini represents penance and austerity, symbolizing the power of knowledge and the importance of self-discipline. Maa Brahmacharini is often depicted as a young woman who is devoted and focused, embodying purity and spiritual wisdom.

All are welcome. Admission is free.

Day 1 performance by students of Temple of Fine Arts. The management committee of CTKS wishes to extend our gratitude to the President of Temple of Fine Arts, Directors, teachers and students for attending and participating in our Navarathiri Celebrations.

Shailaputri is the first form amongst Navadurga who is worshipped on the first day of Navratri. Also known as Sati, Bhavani, Parvati or Hemavati, Goddess Shailaputri is considered the absolute form of Mother Nature. In some cultures, she is also known as Goddess Parvati, wife of Lord Shiva, the mother of Ganesha and Kartikeya. The Goddess is depicted having a half moon on her forehead, holding a trident in her right hand and a lotus in her left while riding Nandi, the bull.

Navarathiri festival-Festival of Music and Dance in praise of the Goddess. Do join us celebrate this beautiful festival. We have invited dance and music schools to perform for our Saraswathy.

Looking for activities that are fun and at the same time educational for your children, then why not join us at the Children's Hinduism Camp on 10 and 11 July 2022.

Long weekend but no plans for the children yet. Maybe a fun and interesting Hinduism camp could be the answer.
CTKS is organising a two day Children's Hinduism Camp on 10 and 11 July 2022 for children aged between 7 to 15 years old. Activities offered are Meditation, Thevaram, Yoga, Arts and Crafts, games and much more.
