Authentic Indian Cuisine at Brickfields

Mr Naan and Mrs Idly just like its name suggests is an amalgamation of the North Indian (Naan) and South Indian (Idly) cuisines from India. Our motto is to provide tasty as well as healthy vegetarian food to every customer who walks into our restaurant. Being located in the corporate area in Brickfields, we see a bustle of office goers come in almost every day to indulge in our delicious lunch meal options and leave happy and satiated. One of our specialties is our all “you can eat”, simple lunch buffet spread attuned to the home-cooked taste priced only at RM 15 that we carry out on weekdays.

We believe that cooking should be done wholeheartedly and one should always serve with a smile on their faces. At Mr Naan and Mrs Idly, we do just that! To say that in our menu, you will find a wide range of North Indian and South Indian delicacies would definitely be an understatement. Well, our menu starts from a variety of mouth-watering starters both tandoori and the traditional Indian snacks like our delicious samosas, the vada paus, the pakodas and more; next, you would find the finger-licking Indian street chats that we describe as tangy, spicy, sweet, and sour with a tasteful crunch all in one mouthful. After that the yummy mini thalis that include the parathas, the chana bhaturas, the pau bhaji, and the likes. Now we come to the main course, yes you read that right! The North Indian and South Indian food options include an enormous variety of rice dishes, the veggies, the dals, the rotis (both tawa and tandoor), the dosas and the uttapams. Top it off with our drinks, search the likes of fresh juices, badam milk, the lassis, and our tasty masala tea. Are you one of those, that just can’t do without some Indo-Chinese dish? (it can’t be just us!) At Mr Naan and Mrs Idly, we serve the Indo-Chinese dishes and soups as well. There! We have covered almost all of it. (*phew*)

Now, owing to our love for the art of cooking we relish in reinventing the traditional dishes, you’d find that some dishes come with a tasty twist to it like the pizza dosa, the paneer butter masala dosa, the pau bhaji dosa, the tawa masala pizza, the manchurian idlis among others. The pizza dosa is one of our most sought-after dishes along with the tasty jalebis that are prepared live on the spot for you. (*slurp*).

We strive to bring healthy and tasty vegetarian food to your tables and therefore being compliant to Vegans, Jains & Buddhists’ methods of eating has become a part of our forte. Most items in our menu can be tweaked for Jain and Buddhist food requests. As we strongly associate with Veganism, you would be surprised to find a substantial variety in our menu that we can serve to the vegans.
