iglidur i230: first igus 3D printing material for polymer components that withstands temperatures of up to 110°C.

3D-printed polymer components will be able to resist much higher temperatures in future – in the engine compartment of a car, for example. While commercially available SLS printing materials threaten to deform at over 80°C, the new powdery material iglidur i230 from igus can withstand a long-term application temperature of 110°C. Furthermore, it is free of PTFE and around 80% more wear-resistant than the classic PA12.

New motor for drylin linear axes ensures a space-saving and cost-effective drive for two mechanical loads. with the double-shaft stepper motor, users can either drive two linear axes simultaneously to save space, or mount a hand wheel on the second shaft of the motor for manual adjustments.

With the new chainflex cable CF33.UL, igus has developed the world's first
motor cable for energy chains and cable trays with UL approval and a four-
year functional guarantee in the energy chain. This allows the cable to be
laid seamlessly from the energy chain to the cable tray without a plug
connection in between. The CF33.UL also adds a shielded PVC motor
cable to the chainflex range.and cable trays with UL approval and a four-year functional guarantee.

Classic metal bearings require constant relubrication. Plain bearings made of high-performance plastics from igus do not, thanks to integrated solid lubricants.
This saves purchasing costs for lubricants. Depending on the application, between €7,000 and 14 million per year, according to the study by the RWTH scientists. In addition, between 8,000 and two million working hours are saved annually on the manual relubrication of bearing points.
