Wing Hin Motorsports has made a strong impression in the 2023 Thailand Super Series Super Compact Class, showcasing their capabilities and potential across the first three rounds of the championship.

Round 1 at Chang International Circuit saw Wing Hin Motorsports immediately assert their presence. The Toyota Yaris GR, driven by the skilled pair of Naquib Azlan and Mitchell Cheah, displayed competitive pace from the start, signaling the team's intentions for the season ahead.

At Round 2, held on the demanding Bangsaen Street Circuit, Wing Hin Motorsports proved their mettle. Despite the challenges posed by the tight and twisty layout, the team excelled. Their performance culminated in an impressive 4th place overall finish and 3rd in the naturally-aspirated class. The Yaris GR's agility shone through the circuit's technical sections, allowing the drivers to battle for podium positions and demonstrating the car's well-rounded performance.

Round 3 brought unexpected hurdles, with Naquib Azlan's race ending early due to a suspension issue. However, before the incident, Azlan had once again shown the car's competitive speed, running strongly in the pack during the opening laps. This consistent pace across different circuit layouts underlines the team's solid setup work and the Yaris GR's versatile performance characteristics.

Throughout the opening rounds, drivers Naquib Azlan and Mitchell Cheah have consistently demonstrated their skill and adaptability. Drama Fuels the Chase at Race 2 🔥

Approaching Race 2 of the Malaysia Championship Series with a positive mindset, Wing Hin Motorsports hit the tarmac determined to bounce back stronger. Our Toyota Yaris squad started from 2nd on the grid, riding the high of their surprise podium. Meanwhile, the Vios crew had to dig deep, clawing their way up from 10th after a DNF in the Vios' maiden race outing.

Just when the Yaris seemed to have the upper hand, drama struck as those nagging gremlins resurfaced with a vengeance. Nabil Nor Azlan and Amer Harris Jefry wrestled with minor glitches, ultimately settling for 7th place. But as one door closed, an opportunity flung wide open for the Vios pilots Mitchell C Heah and Naquib Azlan. In its very first competitive race, the Vios was far from optimized. Yet like a phoenix rising, it capitalized on overnight improvements, charging through the field at a blistering pace to sn**ch an incredible 2nd place podium!

In the blink of an eye, the tides turned. For the Vios, this podium was just a tantalizing glimpse of its immense, untapped potential. Having shown flashes of incredible pace in its debut, there's still so much more to unlock through extensive testing and development. With each race, the Vios will continue growing hungrier to reach new heights.

Malaysia Championship Series Race 1 was supposed to be a straightforward shakedown for our fresh Toyota Vios #36. But as they say, expect the unexpected on the unforgiving tarmac. In qualifying, the Vios crew of Mitchell C Heah and Naquib Azlan threw down the gauntlet, edging ahead of our compatriot Yaris pilots Nabil Nor Azlan and Amer Harris Jefry. Game on.
