My Photography Journey...
MUHAMMAD RAIS SANUSI a.k.a Raiz was born and raised in Kuching, Sarawak, Malaysia. He began his career as a Graphic Artist with a local tabloid newspaper in 1991 before joining other publishing agencies. In 2001 he joined one of the largest private institution in Malaysia as a Graphic Instructor doing Multimedia and Broadcasting works.
As he was deeply in love with the art of photography since 1997, he transformed the hobby into a career as a Professional Photographer. At present, he is working as a Photojournalist with an established largest english newspaper in Borneo. With the combination as Photojournalist and a person with knowledge in Graphics Design, his portfolio demonstrates bold and innovative use of color and the black and white contrast in the design element of his photo takings which is different from the orthodox composition to bring out the mood & concept in his pictures.
In 2012 he was appointed by Canon Malaysia as Photography Instructor for Canon EOS Academy Malaysia conducting a Photography workshops covering whole Sarawak. With a widely knowledge on Commercial and Editorial Photography he become a Photography Instructor with one of the local institute under Open University Malaysia program.
Beside fine art & design in photography, he also specialize in Visual Digital Content Designer, Web Master and Digital Retouching especially when facing complicated conceptual editorial and commercial feature assignments. Some of his works can be seen in local and national paper as well as magazine published in Singapore, Brunei, Taiwan and Japan.
