Having the opportunity to learn from and share insights with a group of young leaders is indeed a rare and valuable experience, and we are grateful!

On 1st March, It is a distinct honor to have hosted the visit from JCI MIRI and their counterparts from various locations across Malaysia at Yourgutbb - Kuching. During the exchange, we shared our knowledge and experiences, hoping to plant seeds of sustainable concepts and practices in the minds of these young leaders and entrepreneurs. Our aspiration is that these seeds will germinate into actions, leading to positive impacts within their respective spheres of influence and opportunities.

Planted this 2 to 3 months ago at my shop.

Few idea in the mind,
1. to reduce heat shinning through into the shop using a natural ways as the leaves is big, it is a small tree and probably easy maintain.
2. As a educational story point where we learn about the local common plants. This plant is widely use as the mean of packaging before arrival of plastic beg.
3. It has nice and big yellow flowers that potentially lure more living things to this area. Which I hope it is a concept to spread awareness of in harmony with nature and bio diversity. The fruits is edible for human according to some source, but for sure it is edible to small birds like sunbird & etc. Interesting fact, the fruit and flower are equivalent beautiful. Many confuse between it's flower and fruit.

It is a glad honour to work collaboratively with our distributors in recollection of the used food containers. This might not be alot, but in long run, it is a significant amount.

We hope it is something that inspire more to held responsibility of our consuming behaviour.

A lesser waste of the valuable material = a sustainable way to utilise the resources we harvested from nature.

We are exercising human hand make technology to produce the yogurts, and deliver to our end customers in fresh and chilled condition. Thus, we managed to control production quantity based on the orders collected for every batch. 💯
It is also one of YourgutBB’s unique selling points, where we are able to avoid overproducing yogurts. By using this method, we hope to minimize carbon footprint and marginal waste. 🌎

When YourgutBB comes into the market, we serve to balance the sustainability of society, environment as well as economics. 💯
We set up our production points locally, at the areas that we targeted. At each production points, we hire local manpower to produce yogurts on demand, and also a system of delivery to reach our end customers. This practice helps to reduce the logistics of manufacturing yogurts and also reduce the carbon footprint in terms of storage energy. ♻️

Since 2018, each Malaysian generates an average of 1.44kg of general waste daily, especially plastic waste, while 0.8kg of that (55%) can actually be recycled or reused. ♻️
Unlike food and paper waste, plastics take hundreds to thousands of years to break down into smaller plastic fragments. 🥤
In our modern lives, there is room for improvement in terms of recycling and reusing plastics materials, and YourgutBB has been doing great in this part to contribute to society. 🌍

To avoid single use plastic cups for our yogurt, YourgutBB uses fine quality bottles and promotes Bottle Return Movement from time to time. Based on our statistics, approximately 46% of our customers would return us our bottles, which has helped to reduce plastic waste indirectly. 🆙
