Saving the world
I am really proud to acknowledge that almost everyone I know has some level of love & respect for our one and only home, Earth. It does really bother and upset me when I come across people that are utterly selfish and disrespectful towards our home. But with plenty of life lessons I have learnt most people just need to be educated and some will just never change. I have learnt that we can’t win every battle. The fight to save the world is a long battle and I need to be more focused.
Now, since we are on this topic, saying no to disposable / single-use plastics must be on the top of your list, switching off unused appliances (laptop, phone charger, lights, fan, A/C) before you pop out (of the house or office), turning off the tap while you brush your teeth or shower, composting your waste; these are just a few examples of what we can do in our everyday life to contribute to our planet being less abused.
Sure, there’s no denying it: “sustainability” is one of the hottest / brand / buzz words out there. It seems like everyone is attempting to jump on the “eco-wagon.” This change has been made possible by similar / like minded individuals who bothered to write in to brands explaining why they will no longer support a particular brand. This effort has made a difference. Many brand have become more environmentally considerate. Some have raised their minimum wages, some have started to source ethically, some have started to up-cycle & re-cycle. This is a win-win situation in every way; brands gain their customers back, customers are pleased that they have been heard and most important, our home suffers less.
When we meet someone in real life, we listen to their anecdotes, ideas, opinions, and beliefs and we ask questions to get to know them better. We try to unearth their story, and to tell our own (or some of it, at least). The end goal is to connect. To find a kindred spirit with some similar likes, dislikes, and convictions for friendship, or romance, or some combination of both. This is Pachamama.my
Pachamama.my is all this and so much more. We are not just about being eco-friendly; we are about educating people on how they can take simple measures to being a bit greener, being human, friendships, animal rights, knowledge sharing, being earth-friendly, people, having a great time, laughs, equality, love, our planet, our products and most of all saving the world with you.
I thank you for your love and support but above all, thank you for making an effort and taking that step to becoming eco-friendly or for those that already practice; keep it up. People like you inspire me so deeply.
