8 August 2024 marks a memorable day as SEIKO Celebrates 100th Brand Anniversary with New Boutique at The Exchange TRX ✨

We are honored to have Mr. Joseph Wong (Chairman) , Mr. Joshua Wong (Vice Chairman) , and Mr. William Hui (Managing Director) from Thong Sia Group, as well as Mr. Akio Naito (President) , Mr. Yoshikatsu Kawada (Director & Senior Executive Vice President) , and Mr. Yukiaki Suganuma (Vice President) from Seiko Watch Corporation, to officiate the ribbon cutting ceremony. Adding to the excitement was the special appearance of Welson Sim, SEIKO Prospex Brand Friend to join the sake barrel breaking ceremony, also known as 'Kagami Biraki'.

Seiko Brand 100th Anniversary King Seiko KS1969, this watch (SJE115J1) features a light blue-green dial with a textured pattern inspired by the scales of a rising dragon, which serves as a metaphor for the Seiko brand’s progression toward the next 100 years.
The dragon is also the animal sign for 2024 in the Japanese zodiac, which remains a part of the country's culture and befits the commemorative edition.

Seiko Brand 100th Anniversary 1965 Heritage Diver's Watch SPB455J1, this special edition features gold-colored accents that celebrate the anniversary year while calling to mind the many watchmaking advances that have been brought forth under the Seiko name.

The special edition watch comes with an additional strap made entirely of recycled plastic bottles. It was created using a traditional Japanese braiding technique called Seichu.

With this new Landmaster, a light and comfortable fit is ensured through a case made of pure titanium, a material with excellent corrosion resistance, while a super hard coating protects from scratches. SPEEDTIMER Mechanical Chronograph

Finding inspiration in Seiko’s heritage, a new Speedtimer mechanical chronograph design is born in Prospex. The creation captures the character of a celebrated Speedtimer design from 1972. The new case and bracelet are produced using Seiko's latest watchmaking technologies to create a classic and refined construction.
The case feature vertical hairline finishing, and the bracelet is designed for comfort on the wrist. The highly legible panda-style dial with an orange-tipped chronograph seconds hand are all design cues inherited from the 1972 creation.

Seiko Prospex has re-created the model from 1968 that was Seiko’s first GMT to feature a rotating bezel. The new limited edition is as faithful as possible to the classic sports design and compact dimensions that characterized the late-‘60s Navigator Timer. A distinctive five-row bracelet glitters to complete the watch’s classic and luxurious look.

On the dial, the Seiko logo follows the design of the original model and is lower in height than the current logo. The GMT, hour, and minute hands, as well as the indexes, also follow the Navigator Timer design. In 1967, Grand Seiko introduced the 44GS. With its distinct case, distortion-free finishing, and mesmerizing dial, the 44GS came to embody the Grand Seiko Style. In 2013, Grand Seiko unveiled the modern interpretation of the design, adapting the brand-defining model from ‘67 to more contemporary standards. In 2022, we saw the release of a new mid-size 44GS design with the smallest case diameter at 36.5mm of the series. This Grand Seiko introduction presents two new mid-size 44GS references in the Heritage Collection, SBGW297 and SBGW299.

The dial of SBGW297 is rendered in white, and SBGW299 has a cool, dark-blue dial. Both feature a dramatic sunray pattern that plays beautifully with the light, creating countless combinations of light and shadow.

Inspiration from the Deep Sea

The inspiration for this Thong Sia Exclusive Seiko PROSPEX The Whale watch emerged from a team of passionate craftsmen with a deep love for the sea. They were profoundly moved by the Humpback whales, known for their graceful and frequent breaches in the ocean. This inspiration led them to create a timepiece that embodies the elegance and freedom of these majestic creatures.

The Seiko Prospex SPB427 timepiece, a limited edition masterpiece known also as the “Whale”, is now available in Malaysia, Brunei, Hong Kong, Macau, and Singapore.
