Eager anticipation fills the air as we move toward the approaching year.

This post is long overdue, but we are finally happy to announce that Arete BJJ and Flow Brazilian Jiu Jitsu (Penang, Malaysia) are affiliating!

What does that mean? We have always wanted to reimagine what a traditional affiliation programme looks like and ensure our students are at the heart of any affiliation. In Flow, we have found a partner gym that shares the same vision, holds the same values and with whom we are excited to grow.

With this affiliation, we will all benefit from knowledge-sharing of our curriculum, discussions on how to improve the standards of coaching, and providing venues where our respective students can train for free. We have already seen the benefits of this when some of our students went to Penang to compete at the Copa de Malaysia. Thank you Poppy and Flow, for coaching our guys and gals!

We hope this affiliation will level-up both our gyms. Look out for some cool branded merchandise in the future and the Arete instructors can’t wait to go visit in Penang and welcome the Flow team to BKK!

In response to yesterday's announcement by the Senior Minister (Security Cluster) regarding the enforcement of the Movement Control Order (MCO 3.0) on three districts and subdistricts in Penang due to the recent surge of COVID-19 cases, Flow Academy will be temporarily closed from 10th until 23rd of May 2021.

Your health, safety and well-being will always remain our top priority.

Please continue to practise general hygiene measures and physical distancing.

For this month of Ramadan, starting from the 13th April 2021, Friday morning
(all -level) class will be replaced by an evening class at 7.00pm. This will happen throughout the Ramadan month (tentatively from 13 April 2021 to 12 May 2021).
