Miko, a basschsund ( basset hound mixed with dacshund) and Pablo, a mixed schnauzer had their meet and greet followed by trial boarding. They got on very well with all their new friends in HFK. One is greedy and one is picky. Easy to tell which is the greedy one. See you both next month.

My 2 guard dogs ( Thea and Dasher ) have retired from HFK. You can see they are having a relaxing time in Portugal with their family.

I did a trial with Arlela and Fifi in the morning to see if they can be my door bell to alert me if any dog arrives. They looked like they understood their task. I was busy mowing the lawn at the back and had to rely on them to help.

Kahlu arrived , and they did not bark. Kobe arrived and it was silent. These owners had to call me on my phone. Meanwhile, other dogs were also silent. Looks like they are all for display purposes.

What a gorgeous and sweet little maltese. It’s Nai Qiu’s 1st trial daycare in HFK.

Looks like Kobe’s mom went on a shopping spree in Hatyai. Thank you for the assorted snacks , beverages and pajamas. Haha my all day comfy attire. Only a job like this allows me to work in pj’s.

This is always the difficult moment for me as a pet sitter seeing my boarders sent off. Everyone is so happy to see each other after 1 year apart. Many thanks to Haley and Euin for all your years of support , friendship and many referrals from the expat community.

Thea and Dasher has already checked in at Qatar Airways, KLIA and will travel as excess baggage from Kuala Lumpur to Doha then to Lisbon. Upon arrival in Lisbon, they will travel by land to their new home in Algarve. Wishing all of you a great start in this new chapter of life.

It feels really wierd that my “ 2 employees “ in HFK have retired. Bossy Thea and Supervisor Dasher have been my best and most reliable guard dogs and disciplinarian. They are the longest and most frequent boarders. It will feel very different without them around.

Thea came from Christchurch, NZ in 2019 and Dasher was adopted here in Malaysia. Both will be relocating to a new home country - Faro , in Algarve region, Southern Portugal.

My family will miss you both as you helped watched and kept our home safe. Thank you Thea & Dasher.

Today is Ralf’s 1st trial daycare. Ralf Is a mixed maltese and shih tzu from the streets of Cairo, Egypt. His lovely family adopted him and brought him to UK. He just arrived in Penang last week and will be coming over for regular daycare in HFK. Such a confident little fella among the big dogs. He loves exploring and running in the garden.

What an exciting day for Thea and Dasher. They were picked up by Aerofleet to get their health certificate and export permit at DVS. When they returned to HFK, they were surprise to see their parents. 1 year apart from each other since 3rd July 2023. They leave for Portugal this Saturday hence, dogs and crate measurements for the airlines carried out this morning.

James is the skinniest dog in HFK. This Brazillan furkid Is ultra picky with food and snacks. Half the time he doesn’t eat his lunch ( kibbles + meat ) during daycare so I told his mama to pack a small snack instead of wasting his food. This Is probably the tinest lunch snack for any dog 🤣🤣

Fifi : Arlela , what are you having for lunch?. Can I try some?.

Arlela: I’ll tell my mom to make some for you next time.

Raja, the yorkie/ bichon frise mix from Mali, West Africa is a little social butterfly. He loves playing with dogs of his size or those bigger than him. I used to keep him with the smaller breeds in my house but I could see his eagerness to go to the dog house to play as he often stood by the gate envying the big dogs run and play happily.
