I adore stacking rings. The magic of this ring style is that it can be worn in so many different ways. Stacked or solo.

So I set out to design and craft one for myself.

Here are two sterling silver rings stacked together.

And there it is, my Foredom Flex Shaft hanging ever so beautifully. I went a little bit nuts with the S hooks and dangled all four of them.

One for my flex shaft. One for my hand piece. And two...for whatever takes my fancy. Love that. It's so me.

I must have looked at it skeptically. Because Ali said, as he shook the pole vigorously, “See Madam, it will not wobble.”

Ali mulled over the issue several days and crafted a stand for me that he says will be solid as gold. I wonder if the pun was intended…hmm

He painted it white, because he knows how I love white. When a man knows you well, he knows how to make you happy? Or is that not the wisdom. He he he

3/7 I bought this little fella, thinking I'll hunt me a metal tube somewhere that I could use. So I called my handyman child, Ali. The miraculous Ali.

2/7 A better overview of my studio space, with my flexshaft hanging gracelessly on the wall. Blegh.

1/7 My precious Foredom Flexshaft had been hanging pitifully on the wall instead of dangling gracefully at my table.

I love the tear drop shape of this design. It sits sensually in the hollow of the neck. And one catches glints of brilliant silver with every movement the wearer makes. ❤️

Starting back from where I stopped.

I sat down and relooked at how I wanted this done. I became overwhelmed by my ideas and was paralyzed.

Then I did what I’ve always told myself. The most graceful way to eat an elephant is a teaspoonful at a time.

And this beautiful quote by Kathryn Bedell,

““Don’t be afraid to start over.

This time you’re not starting from scratch, you’re starting from experience.”

And so I am starting again, long awaited custom orders, here I go one teaspoonful at a time.
