Whether you like to admit or not, majority of us all have a crush on lowered and slammed cars despite how troublesome they are to be driven on our roads with potholes and bumps around. That's how we met Alex few years back. While hunting for nice modded cars to shoot, we stumbled upon Alex's slammed 180SX and immediately book a shoot with him. This was when the stance and fitment scene is still in its infancy locally so seeing a Silvia done in such way, we were immediately hook.

Fast forward to few years later, we met Kepet for the very same reason, a slammed Silvia. Upon closer inspection and deeper conversation, we figured slammed Silvia is not the only thing that connects Kepet and Alex, they both actually are a part of GarageLife.

GarageLife was founded by Simon; another Silvia owner and driver, back in 1999 when his hands started getting itchy to do and mods his car with his own hands within the perimeter of his parents house somewhere in Kuala Lumpur. Thanks to his experience working in performance shop during the year 2000s, Simon was able to maintain his car on his own without having to rely on other workshops to do it for him but for major works on their drift cars, he still works closely with other workshops owned by their circle of friends.

Over time, Simon together with Adrian realized that this formula isn't working too well especially when their hands are beyond full so a hunt for proper workshop/garage was launched around 2011 which landed them in Puchong until today. By having this establishment, GarageLife is able to have more space for their cars and a lil bit more flexibility to do their works. But before anyone asks, GarageLife is not like any other business operated workshops but instead a small passion driven garage only open after their daily working hours to look after and maintain their cars.

GarageLife range of Silvias varies from super clean show-ready condition all the way to beaten up drift car but despite that, majority of them actually has owned and driven the very same car for more than 10 years. Some of the cars are actually spec-ed to compete in drift and gymkhana events locally and for that, they are able to come up with their own small line of s-chassis drift products under a brand named MadRush. GarageLife also is a distributor of GKTECH products in Malaysia.

Recently we asked GarageLife to take out some of their cars for a shoot and to get to know them better and long story short, we were envious with not only the long-term relationship between each of them and their cars but also the connection between each members of GarageLife. Squad goals? Definitely they nailed it.
