I posted back in November about the launch of the Entreq Grounding Kits and thought this new post will serve as a bit of an update or refresher for people who are looking at them as potential upgrades as they are going down very nicely and I’m getting some great feedback on them and plenty of enquiries as well.

The cable that comes with the Micro and Macro kit is the same and in performance terms it outperforms the old entry level Copper Infinity, this cable can’t be purchased on its own.

To get set up couldn’t be simpler, connect one end of the ground cable to the ground box. Take the termination that came with your kit and connect it to the other end of the ground cable, this then connects into whichever device you intend to ‘ground’ on an unused connection, integrated amplifier, CD player, Melco, Router, Switch etc.

Common High End Cables
With a common Cable the screen is connected to both unit A and B. The shield surrounding the Cable will travel into both A and B.
This results in RFI/EMI floating around in the chassis of both A and B. The signal in the Cable is Clean and well protected, but once it hits unit B
the signal will be mixed with "dust" from the shield.(PICTURE 1)

In a semi shielded Cable unit B are not connected to the shield wich will make RFI/EMI drain to unit A. Going against the positive signals direction.
Thus the signal will be mixed up with distorsions.(PICTURE 2)

Entreq EEDS Cable
To avoid this problems we introduced the EEDS, Externa Earth Draining System, with our first Cable line Konstantin.
This drainwire system are not connected to Unit A, but instead starting right after the connector and then follow the positive conductor and signal.

Rigth Before Unit B the drainwire swap over to the negative conductor and follow the signal back to Unit A. Before reaching Unit A again it will leave the
cable and connect to a groundbox which eliminate the RFI/EMI. This while always following the signals direction and keep signal protected, but never mix signal with noice, either in unit A or B.

With this EEDS function we minimizes the use of metal and avoiding plastic materials, creating and easy flowing clean signal and outstanding performance.(PICTURE 3)

Standing still is the most important for you speaker!
It is imperative for the sound from your speakers. If you imagine that the treble vibrates with 5-20 kHz, and the baffle on the speaker is having its own life and sometimes vibrates between 400 and 900 Hz, good sound can’t be produced as distortion is introduced. You also loose energy in the base since the power is lost when the speaker box is moving backwards.

What do ‘Vibb eaters’ do? ‘Vibb eaters’ consists largely of copper-based sand and small quantities of precious metal that gives it interesting characteristics regarding magnetism as well as absorbing vibrations and transform them into heat. When you place the ‘Vibb eater’ on your speakers, or on your electronic equipment, the vibrations that come from the speaker box will be absorbed through friction between the copper grains and be transformed into heat. It is easiest to feel this on the speaker. If you place your hand on the speaker you find that it is almost free from vibrations. If you on the other hand put your hand on the ‘Vibb eater’ you will sense a heavy activity.

When it comes to speakers the ‘Vibb eater’ works on three fronts:

A conventional USB cable will contain a shield, any noise or interference travels up and down this shield inside the cable. the delicate musical signal is carried along the conductors, the conductors that run next to the shield. Which one you need? Entreq Eartha Ground cable

Who do you think have the best knowlege to create a Eartha cable?
As well as there are many manufacturers who try copy our ground boxes there are manufacturers trying copy our Eartha cables.
And that´s natural. Who could have better knowledge then we have?
You should know that we at Entreq have more than a decade of experience and knowledge create grounding cables.
And we have worked with Power, signal and speaker cables nearly two decades. Many of them have been award winners. With that said, a cable for grounding has very little common with a audio cable. It´s two totally different kind of work they should do.
A Eartha cable must be able handle much higher frequency then a signal or speaker cable.
A perfect Eartha cable should not work in the normal frequency.

The following are examples of the effective performance enhancements available to both old and new customers, but as always. It´s your eaars , your choice. We recomend you to test and find out yourself . In our opinion K2 are more calm than Everest and fit very well for system that are bright and need some more body.

MinimUs: Single Ground post only – The replacement of a K2 or Everest to a Minimus will then allow it to, at least, out perform a standard Silver Minimus!
Tellus: Three Ground posts – As above the replacement of the K2 or Everest on a Tellus will offer a performance level higher than a Silver Tellus.
Silver Tellus: Again the K2 or Everest applied to a Silver Tellus will start to approach the performance of the mighty OlympUs!

Everest then applied to OlympUs Tellus and ……well you get the picture!
On ground boxes with multiple outlets you can of course change over each Ground post one at a time as and when funds allow OR of course all at once! You simply match the K2 or Everest to ensure optimal performance.
