Recent update from TAP.

You can upload the GST returns via TAP using SQL Account version 753 (follow the latest TAP Text format).

If you have got import error message "Unsupported file format", please contact our local agent to get upgrade the SQL Account to version 753.

V.753 New version TAP FILE haven synchronize with current Tap Portal. Pls manually upload.

SQL Account version 753 onward is compliance to the latest GST Accounting Software guide (05 Feb 2018). However The Custom's TAP itself have not support the updated TAP 2018 format yet (hopefully they will upgrade in this few days). Kindly manually key in if you wish to submit GST-03 now or await further instructions from Customs.

Major GST changes added in version 753:
1. New Tax Code : IM-CG
2. Existing Tax Code (EP, RP, GP, NP) will be marked as INACTIVE.
3. Revised the tax code description for OP, NS,and ZP.
4. New GST-03 format*.
5. New TAP upload text format*.
*applicable to taxable period Jan 2018 onward.

It seems obvious this is fake, but some people already lost money from bank accounts from these emails. The recent revelation of 46 million Malaysian mobile phone numbers data breach along with our personal data means phishing and other scams can come in the form of emails, phone calls, SMS, WhatsApp, WeChat, even good old fashion letter. This is only the beginning. The scam can be extremely elaborate because scammers have many personal info now, they can confirm your home address, work address, IC no., passport no. to pretend as an official contact. Fake calls and phishing emails have clearly increase recently.

This letter is to inform you to update and correct your GST company registration information (GST-01) where they found not matched with your GST-03 submission.
Reasons could be:
1. Incorrect industry code reported.
2. Incorrect % of the supply (SR, ZRL, ZRE, ES) reported in GST-03 compared with GST-01. For example, SR 100% & ZRL 0% in your registraion info BUT ZRL 100% in GST-03.
3. Annual Turnover value, example 5,000,000 is monthly submission.
and many other reasons.

Please call to clarify with RMCD by refer to your rujukan no.and update the company registration information via TAP.

Based on our experience, we would like to share here, the criteria to claim Input Tax to avoid incorrect GST returns.

Main features added:
1. Tax code changes from the GST Guideline (02 March 2017).
2. GST-03 Report changes from the GST Guideline (02 March 2017).
3. GL Cash Book Entry add new fields for GST Audit File (CompanyName, RegNo, Invoice Date, Invoice No, PermitNo & Country).
4. GL Cash Book Company Name Lookup (support add new value which not exists in the lookup). Upon change Company Name, system will retrieve GSTNo & RegNo that saved in table previously.

what worked for me:
right click computer, select manage
click 'services and applications', then click 'services'
scroll down to 'print spooler', right click and select 'properties'
click 'STOP' the service, then click 'START' service.
