With many years of active involvement in the and E&E industries, I'm honoured to be the moderator for this plenary discussion. We have to stay focus and build a sustainable ecosystem and the important of technology, innovation and collaboration in securing the supply chain resilience.

In Malaysia, there has been a renewed focus on the importance of technology, innovation, and collaboration in securing supply chain resilience. Perhaps the technology plays a critical role in enabling supply chain visibility, which allows businesses to track their products and inventory in real-time. This visibility, in turn, enables businesses to respond quickly to disruptions and to make data-driven decisions to optimize their supply chain. An innovation is essential for improving supply chain efficiency and sustainability. For example, new technologies like blockchain can enable more secure and transparent supply chains, while renewable energy solutions can help reduce the carbon footprint of supply chain operations. Last but not least, strengthening the collaboration among supply chain partners can help foster resilience and risk management. By working together, businesses can identify potential disruptions and develop contingency plans to minimize the impact of disruptions on their operations.

Energy sector faces challenges in addressing the demand and supply, says Powerwell KUALA LUMPUR (Feb 25): The energy sector faces challenges in addressing the demand and supply of the country, as Malaysia continues to increase energy consumption and inflict heavy subsidy burdens.

Upon the tabulation of the revised inaugural Budget 2023 by the Malaysian Prime Minister and Finance Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, I am convinced that Malaysia is on the right path to establishing Malaysia as an ESG-focused nation and promoting transparency in the nation’s corporate governance.

The extension of the Pioneer Status and Investment Tax Allowance (ITA) for another five years until 2027 is one of the most important incentives for the E&E industry, which will encourage more companies to invest in technology. Furthermore, by offering tax incentives to companies that relocate to Malaysia and a 15% tax rate for the C-suite companies until 2024, more companies in the E&E industry can benefit from tax exemptions or reductions on their investments in the country. This will also encourage foreign investors to continue investing in Malaysia and assist the country to remain competitive in the global market.
