Recently, we conducted a vibrant internal sharing session using the art of coffee cupping. We introduced 8 exquisite beautiful coffees & Thai coffees from our dear friends like Rosetta Roastery : Specialty Coffee Roaster Mitte Coffee sourced straight from the Thailand Coffee Festival. 🇹🇭

Beyond savoring these gems, we delved into applying cupping insights to elevate our daily barista craft and service standards. Drawing from our Thailand Coffee Festival journey, we’re set on enhancing JWC’s barista quality and guest experiences. 🌟

The session culminated in an open exchange where each barista highlighted their favorite brews, enriching our coffee vocabulary and ensuring every guest enjoys a stellar experience. ☕️📈

☕✨ What a fantastic time we had at our recent coffee cupping sharing sessions in Seremban and Kuantan! 🌟

We were thrilled to share some incredible coffees from JWC Roastery, Ninety Plus, Yardstick Coffee, and Good Cup Coffee Co. Each cup told its own unique story, and we loved every moment of exploring the rich flavors and aromas with our amazing community.

During the sessions, we introduced the 5 basic steps of the coffee cupping process:

These steps help us truly appreciate the nuances in each coffee. It was a joy to see everyone engage and learn together!

📣 Tawau Coffee Lovers Unite! 📣

Last weekend, on Saturday, 22nd June 2024, JWC Roastery hosted an incredible coffee tasting and cupping session titled "𝐁𝐚𝐬𝐢𝐜 𝐋𝐚𝐭𝐭𝐞 𝐀𝐫𝐭 & 𝐂𝐨𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐞 𝐂𝐮𝐩𝐩𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐄𝐱𝐩𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐜𝐞 𝐒𝐡𝐚𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠" at Mess Kantin from 10:30am to 11:30am. ☕️✨

We shared a selection of coffees roasted by JWC Roastery along with some international guest roasters. Participants were introduced to the intentions, purposes, and the 5 basic steps of the coffee cupping protocol.

After the cupping session, we demonstrated latte art ex*****on techniques and provided a hands-on latte art pouring experience.

Here's what our coffee lovers gained:
- Understanding the differences and reasons behind light, medium, and dark coffee roasting levels.
- Learning the purpose of coffee cupping and evaluating coffee aroma, acidity, sweetness intensity, mouthfeel, and texture.
- Differentiating between espresso blends and filter single-origin coffees.
- Gaining knowledge on latte art pouring techniques and ex*****on.

The highlight? We had 49 passionate coffee lovers join us for this session! Tawau coffee lovers, you are truly amazing! 🙌
