Hari Gawai, juga dikenali sebagai Gawai Dayak, adalah perayaan tahunan yang disambut oleh masyarakat Dayak di Sarawak, Malaysia. Collab Inked For Hospitality Industrial Attachment Training | New Sarawak Tribune KUCHING: A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Sarawak Consumer Welfare Association (SCWA) and Asiana Hospitality Academy to provide Hospitality

Sarawak Consumer Welfare Association (SCWA) has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Asiana Hospitality Academy at CSSC Kuching to provide Hospitality Industrial Attachment Training Program (HIATP), a Full Sponsorship for tuition fees, meals, accommodation and airfare which benefits to Sarawakians aged between 17 and 70.

This MOU was jointly signed by the President of Sarawak Consumer Welfare Association, Mr. Melson Chai Mui Sin and the Principal of Asiana Hospitality Academy, Mr. Eric Yu. Witnessed by YB Wilfred Yap of ADUN N.12, Kota Sentosa, Sarawak, and Dr. Zufar Yadi Brendan, the Executive Secretary of the Sarawak Social Development Council (MPS).

Mr. Melson Chai, President of SCWA stated during the signing ceremony that the association fully supports the "Sarawak Free Tertiary Education Policy 2026" proposed by our Sarawak Premier, YAB Datuk Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg. Therefore, they welcome the institute initiative to sponsor Sarawakians in their trainings and skill developments.
He firmly believes that through the HIATP program, they can assist in promoting the growth of the local tourism industry, while also enhancing the skill level and income of Sarawakians.
Asiana Hospitality Academy, with its eight years of training experience, will fully sponsors Sarawakians in training course fees, accommodation, meals, and one-way airfare for 12 months industrial attachment training program, enabling students to gain practical experience and obtain a Hospitality Professional Course certificate from American Hospitality Academy - a well-recognized certificate in the hospitality industry.

Mr. Eric Yu, the Principal of the Asiana Hospitality Academy, revealed that the institute with the collaboration with the Sarawak Consumer Welfare Association (SWCA), will recommend eligible students to enrol in the Hospitality Industrial Attachment Training Program (HIATP).

He said that in order to assist the underprivileged group who are willing to enhance their abilities and skills, the institute will provide assistance by seeking sponsors to fully sponsor the tuition fees, meals, accommodation, and airfare.

The level of skills affects a person's abilities and value, and has a profound impact on future development and income. Especially in today's society where technology is advancing rapidly and higher skills is becoming more prevalent.

He described that only through education and training can the fate of underprivileged groups be fundamentally changed. Once the skill level is raised, both individual and family economies will improve.

He continued to say that the institute has been promoting the hospitality industrial attachment training program for more than eight years and it has become a preferred alternate pathway for students to advance and success in their careers. With over 300 Sarawakians having graduated from this course, many have successfully reshaped themselves, more equip and confident in their career.
