We are very delighted to be part of Gaya Traveller and Friends Fund Raising for Our Heroes program. In total, Gaya Traveller has managed to collect RM11,800.00 fund to donate PPE for Hospital Sultanah Maliha Langkawi, Malaysia.

We are very honoured that YB Tun Dr. Mahathir bin Mohamad (Member of Parliament for Langkawi) and Tun Dr Siti Hasmah both officially delivered the PPE to PKRC LISRAM. Thank you Tun!

All 17 boxes of PPE are received by Dr Akmal Naziah bt Dato Haji Ahmad, Director of Hospital Sultanah Maliha, Langkawi.

Our appreciation also goes to the team of Yayasan Kepimpinan Perdana and Pusat Khidmat Ahli Parlimen Langkawi for their collaboration in managing the goods from Putrajaya to Subang Airport to Langkawi International Airport and finally to PKRC LISRAM.

We have been informed that many flood-hit areas have lost essential supplies to maintain SOP .

In the current situation, we are very worried if Covid-19 cases increase in flooded areas as many victims and volunteers do not have adequate supply of facemask, hand sanitizer & faceshield.

Other aids such as food, cleaning utensils, clothes etc. have been widely managed by various parties. But assistance to maintain SOP & in affected areas is still lacking.

This week we’ve collaborated with Majlis Tindakan Sosial Negeri Pahang and have been able to distribute 400 boxes facemask and 1000 pieces faceshield for flood relief operations in Pahang. Thank you to the volunteers of MTS Pahang for their hard work.

Prime Minister Muhyiddin Yassin has announced another round of lockdowns across the nation from Wednesday till Jan. 26 amid spikes in daily COVID-19 infections.

Parts of Malaysia will enter lockdowns of various levels, with Penang, Selangor, Kuala Lumpur, Putrajaya, Labuan, Sabah, Johor, and Melaka to be placed under the stricter Movement Control Order, or MCO, while many other parts will be under the more relaxed Conditional Movement Control Order (CMCO) or Recovery Movement Control Order (RMCO).

Stay home stay safe. Follow the Golden Rule. Wash your hands frequently with soap and water or use alchohol based hand-rub.

Stay physically fit. Exercise regulary. Eat a nutritious diet. Don’t smoke. Clean your home regularly, particularly frequently touched surfaces like.

If you show symptoms of COVID-19, self isolate yourself, wear a mask around others and seek medical advice.

Problems with moisture could also mean the cloth retains the virus. Homemade masks may not be made of appropriate material to prevent the viral spread. They are also unlikely to fit the face sufficiently. Re-using such masks could increase the risk of infection as people repeatedly touch the central contaminated portion and then secure it to their face.
