Sambutan Hari Pelancongan Sedunia (World Tourism Day) yang bertemakan ‘Pelancongan dan Keamanan’ dirasmikan oleh YBhg. Datuk Wira Roslan Tan Sri Abdul Rahman, Ketua Setiausaha, Kementerian Pelancongan, Seni dan Budaya. Tema tahun ini menitikberatkan peranan sektor pelancongan dalam memupuk keamanan melalui pertukaran budaya dan pelaksanaan amalan mampan.

Acara ini diraikan setiap tahun untuk memupuk kesedaran tentang peranan sektor pelancongan dalam pembangunan ekonomi, sosial dan budaya.

YBhg. Datuk Wira Roslan menekankan keunikan Malaysia sebagai sebuah negara berbilang kaum, etnik, dan agama, yang turut kaya dengan keindahan alam semula jadi, menjadikannya destinasi pelancongan pilihan.

Celebrating Strong Bilateral Ties: The Malaysia - China Trade Expo(MCTE)

The Malaysia-China Trade Expo is not just an event; it is a strategic initiative aimed at building long-lasting economic relationships and expanding market access for both Malaysian and Chinese businesses. By promoting dialogue, fostering innovation, and facilitating partnerships, the MCTE paves the way for a more integrated and prosperous economic future for both nations and the ASEAN region as a whole.

The expo held at the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur from September 25 to 27, 2024, marks a significant milestone in strengthening the economic ties between Malaysia and China. With over 500 manufacturers showcasing more than 20,000 products, this expo is a vital platform for fostering trade relationships and exploring new commercial opportunities.

We are thrilled to have the Board of Directors of MyCEB/Group Managing Director of the World Trade Centre Kuala Lumpur, YBhg. Dato' Sri Dr. Irmohizam Ibrahim welcoming participants with inspiring remarks that emphasise the strong bilateral ties between China and Malaysia, which play a crucial role in boosting our business events industry.

We proudly brought to you the recent ENGINEER & MARVEX 2024 exhibition at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre, where groundbreaking advancements in engineering and HVAC technologies took centre stage, showcasing technological and engineering capabilities, as well as serving as a platform for engineers to address industry challenges. Visitors explored breakthrough innovations addressing the industry's growing demands, emphasising their role in creating a sustainable future. The event also promoted collaboration and knowledge-sharing among global leaders and experts, providing access to the latest technologies that support the net-zero transition.

ENGINEER & MARVEX welcomed over 12,000 visitors, driving an estimated economic impact of RM84.1 million. With visitors from over 60 countries exploring over 200 exhibitors from 10 regions, Malaysia showcases the endless possibilities that engineering has to offer.

The event was officiated by YAB Dato' Sri Haji Fadillah bin Haji Yusof, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Transition and Water Transformation, highlighting the government's commitment to advancing the business events sector in Malaysia. Also in attendance were Ir. Prof Dr. Jeffrey Chiang, President of the Institution of Engineers Malaysia (IEM), Dato’ Vincent Lim, President of C.I.S and MyCEB Board of Directors, and Tan Mei Phing, Acting Chief Executive Officer of MyCEB.

Malaysia proudly hosts the 21st International Congress for Tropical Medicine and Malaria (ITCMM 2024) co-jointly with 10th ASEAN Congress on Tropical Medicine and Parasitology (10th ACTMP) and the 60th Malaysian Society of Parasitology of Tropical Medicine Conference from 19-23 September 2024. The 17th World Chinese Economic Conference (WCEC), organised by the Associated Chinese Chambers of Commerce and Industry of Malaysia (ACCCIM) and supported by MyCEB, was a resounding success, held from 9-11 Sept 2024, at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre.

The event attracted over 3,500 delegates, including 2,450 international participants, and generated an impressive
RM 41 million in economic impact for Malaysia.

Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Bin Ibrahim, who launched the conference, emphasised Malaysia’s interest to learn from China to strengthen its investment environment and improve policies. He praised the robust Malaysia-China relationship, noting China’s pivotal role as Malaysia’s largest trading partner and a major foreign investor.
