The Centre for Instructor and Advanced Skill Training (CIAST) is located in Shah Alam, Selangor. The Centre offer courses in Instructor Training, Supervisory Training and Advanced Skill Training for instructors, supervisors and skilled workers from the private and public sectors.

CIAST began operating in 1983 with financial assistance from the Japanese Government under the ASEAN Human Resource Development Project and was supervised by technical and management experts from Japan through Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) until 1991. CIAST operated under the Manpower Department, Ministry of Human Resources from 1991 until May 2007 and was transferred to the Department of Skills Development in the same ministry in June 2007.

Terengganu Skills is an educational institution wholly owned by the Terengganu state government that offers a variety of academic and skills programs with the latest syllabus to produce a competitive and excellent workforce to meet the needs of the current market.

Pahang Skills Development Centre (Pahang Skills) was registered under the Societies Act 1966 on 17th June 1994 and commenced active operations on 1st September 1996 in the Industrial Park Semambu, Kuantan, Pahang.

Pahang Skills is a skills-based training and education institution which was established through cooperation between three (3) parties i.e., the State Government, the Federal Government and the major industries in the state. Pahang Skills core activity is to provide skills training for workers in the industrial sector.

Pahang Skills has also been trusted to be the Main Consultant to develop the Pahang Digital Plan 2021-2025 together with Pahang Go Sdn. Bhd.

The Perak Entrepreneur and Skills Development Centre (PESDC) is a joint project initiated by the Federal Government, Perak State Government and manufacturers in Perak. PESDC was established in March 1993. The main aim is to provide a total learning solution for the industries and acts as a platform to facilitate the promotion of Technical Skill and Management Skills for occupational competence.

The Centre has been approved by HRDF under the Ministry of Human Resources as an Approved Training Provider and accredited by the Jabatan Pembangunan Kemahiran (JPK) to run vocational / JPK courses. PESDC is also accredited training provider by SME Corp. to run short courses, re-training and re-skilling for SMEs’.

The Industrial Training Institute (ILP) is a type of training institute to produce skilled workers to meet the demands of the industrial sector in Malaysia. The establishment of ILP has started since 1964 with the establishment of ILP Kuala Lumpur. ILP is under the Department of Human Resources (JTM).

Institut Kemahiran Tinggi Belia Negara (IKTBN) is a skill-based institution under the auspices of Kementerian Belia dan Sukan Malaysia.

Among the courses taught are industrial electronics, audio video and computer technology. Successful trainees will receive a certificate from Majlis Latihan Vokasional Kebangsaan.

Established as a technical university in 2002, Universiti Malaysia Pahang Al-Sultan Abdullah (UMPSA) offers various engineering- and technology-based technical programmes, including high-level Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) programmes.

Ranked as one of the best in research and innovation within the classifications of Malaysia Technical University Network (MTUN) and Non-Research University (Non-RU).

University College TATI (UC TATI) was formerly known as Terengganu Advanced Technical Institute (TATI) and was inaugurated in November 1993.

The establishment of UC TATI was a result of cooperation from federal government and private companies.It is a continuous effort to fill the best quality manpower in the market place.

In 1999, UC TATI was one of the earliest private higher education institutions which was officially granted with LAN Accreditation.

MARA Japan Industrial Institute (MJII, formerly known as MARA Skills Training College Beranang (KKTMBeranang)) is a highly skilled college under management skills and Technical Division (BKT) MARA in Beranang, Malaysia. KKTM Beranang began operations in June 2008 and the start of the academic session in January 2009.

KKTMBeranang start established as skilled manpower needs of the country, to make the difference compared to other centers where programs are engineered with a focus on the latest technology. Japanese introduced in the syllabus as a second language after English.

Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin Polytechnic (PSMZA) was inaugurated by Al-Wathiqu Billah Sultan Mizan Zainal Abidin ibni Almarhum Sultan Mahmud Al-Muktafi Billah Shah on Monday, 24 July 2006.

Along with the goal of the Ministry of Higher Education in empowering Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET), PSMZA as one of the leading institutions in the field of TVET has drafted several measures to increase access to TVET to give more young people in this country the opportunity to venture into the field of TVET in the era economic and social development of the country.

Port Dickson Polytechnic (PPD) began operating in 1990. Port Dickson Polytechnic is regulated under the Department of Polytechnic Studies, Ministry of Higher Education Malaysia. Port Dickson Polytechnic was awarded the MS ISO 9001:2008 Certificate on 25 November 2009. This means that studies and learning at Port Dickson Polytechnic have reached an excellent level and are recognized worldwide.

Politeknik Tuanku Syed Sirajuddin (PTSS) is the 18th polytechnic under the Malaysian Ministry of Education. Currently the polytechnic is under the Ministry of Higher Education. Among the departments created at the Polytechnic are the Design and Visual Communication Department, the Mechanical Engineering Department and more.

Polytechnic Seberang Perai was established on 1st September 1998 at the Jalan Permatang Pauh, Pulau Pinang.

Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Polytechnic (POLISAS) is a government step to increase the number of trained personnel aimed at educating and training SPM and SPM (V) graduates to meet the needs of semi-professional workforce in the field of engineering and commerce.

POLISAS has also received various awards and recognitions including Certificate of Recognition in MS ISO 9001: 2015 Quality Management System, Three Star Rating by Malaysia Productivity Corporation (MPC) and The Charted Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Training Centre.

Ungku Omar Polytechnic (PUO; Malay: Politeknik Premier Ungku Omar) is a polytechnic situated at Jalan Dairy (Jalan Raja Musa Mahadi), Ipoh which was named after the Ungku Omar bin Ungku Ahmad. It was established by the Malaysian Ministry of Education with help from UNESCO in 1969. It also received RM24.5 million funding from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP). UNESCO was responsible for its construction. Ungku Omar Polytechnic is the first and the oldest polytechnic in Malaysia.
