There's a very doubtful page that I came across today :

They are supposedly selling cute handmade figurine and on chatting with them, they insist on FULL payment after sending them tonnes of pictures to check if it can be done..... when asked for confirmation or at least a bill or invoice confirming the deal.... nothing, they kept send me a bank account to transfer money to them. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄
Fishy indeed.... Those who are inquiring with them, do be careful......🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄

Simple, secure, versatile, adjustable, reliable.

The timber hitch is a type of knot used primarily for securing a rope to a cylindrical object, such as a log or post. It's known for being easy to tie and untie, even after heavy loads have been applied.

The timber hitch is often used in conjunction with other knots, such as the half hitch, to stabilize the load further. This knot is especially useful in logging, sailing, and various outdoor activities where securing cylindrical objects is necessary.

Wilderness therapy: How to be more focus or release stress. My metaphor for this lesson using knife carving techniques.

Carving with a knife is like sculpting away distractions and tension from the mind, revealing the polished clarity and inner peace hidden within the rough edges of thought. With each precise stroke, worries and stress are carved away, leaving behind a masterpiece of focused serenity.

Carving can be a wonderful activity for both focusing your mind and releasing stress.

Here's how you can make the most of carving:
Choose Your Medium: Select a material to carve that appeals to you. It could be bamboo , wood, soapstone, clay, or even fruits and vegetables. Choose something that you enjoy working with and that suits your skill level.

Set Up Your Space: Create a comfortable and clutter-free workspace where you can focus on your carving. Make sure you have all the necessary tools and materials within reach. Use

Mindful Focus: Carving requires concentration and focus, as you carefully shape and refine your creation. Engage fully in the process, paying attention to the sensations of the tools in your hand and the texture of the material as it is carved away.

Start Simple: Begin with a simple design or pattern, especially if you're new to carving. As you gain confidence and skill, you can gradually tackle more intricate projects.

Breathe and Relax: As you carve, take deep breaths and allow yourself to relax into the rhythm of the activity. Let go of any tension or stress as you focus on the present moment.

Embrace Imperfections: Remember that carving is a form of self-expression, and imperfections are part of the beauty of handmade creations. Embrace any mistakes or unexpected outcomes as opportunities for learning and growth.

Express Yourself: Use carving as a way to express your creativity and emotions. Whether you're carving a figurine, a relief sculpture, or a decorative object, infuse it with your unique style and personality.

Take Breaks: If you start to feel fatigued or overwhelmed, take breaks as needed. Step away from your carving for a few moments to stretch, rest your eyes, or clear your mind before returning to your work.

Celebrate Your Progress: Take time to admire and appreciate your progress as you work on your carving. Celebrate each milestone, no matter how small, and acknowledge the effort and dedication you've put into your creation.

Enjoy the Process: Above all, enjoy the process of carving. Allow yourself to get lost in the flow of creativity and craftsmanship, and savor the satisfaction of bringing your vision to life through carving.

Embarking on a kayaking adventure together is akin to strengthening a relationship – navigating the twists and turns of the water requires trust, cooperation, and effective communication. Paddling in sync towards a shared destination fosters a deeper connection and understanding between partners, as they navigate the waves of life together.

My metaphor for today topic: How to enchance relationships & communication . Throw them out and start paddle !

What is the function of leaf ?

Leaves play a crucial role in photosynthesis, converting sunlight, carbon dioxide, and water into glucose and oxygen. They also help regulate water loss through tiny pores called stomata and contribute to plant structure and support.

If too much leafy what can happen ?

Having too many leaves on a tree can potentially be detrimental. An excess of leaves may strain the tree by requiring more water and nutrients for maintenance. It could also create a dense canopy, limiting sunlight pe*******on to lower branches. Proper pruning or thinning can help maintain a balanced and healthy tree.

If too much leafs , means less fruits production or flowers. .

While an abundance of leaves doesn't necessarily guarantee the absence of fruits, it can impact fruit production. Excessive foliage may divert energy away from fruit development. Proper pruning and care, including thinning out excess leaves, can help optimize the balance between vegetative growth and fruit production in many fruit-bearing trees

My metaphor for today:

Selecting outdoor clothing is like gathering leaves for a tree; each piece must be carefully chosen to provide protection, flexibility, and harmony with the environment, ensuring you blend seamlessly into the outdoor landscape while staying comfortable and prepared for any weather conditions.

After decades of diligent effort, I have successfully obtained my certification as a Certified Outdoor Educator from the Wilderness Education Association (WEA), one of the pioneering bodies in outdoor education established in 1977. Founded by Paul Petzoldt, Dr. Frank Lupton, Chuck Gregory, and Bob Christie, the WEA is dedicated to advancing the professionalization of outdoor leadership.

Today, the WEA remains committed to serving the outdoor education and leadership sector by setting professional standards, offering individual credentialing, and accrediting programs.
