From 1 April 2022, the following will be discontinued for travellers entering Malaysia.

Foreign workers who are stranded in their country of origin and have expired PLKS can apply for re-entry through MyTravel Pass before 1/4/2022. Employers who fail to apply are considered not interested in continuing the employment of foreign workers and the status of foreign workers will be revoked after the pandemic phase ends on 1/4/2022.

Beginning April 1, 2022, Malaysia's borders will be reopened to the world to boost the country's economic development and recovery.

The Ministry of Health Malaysia (MOH) is working closely with the Ministry of Transport to ensure an efficient tourist entry process while avoiding congestion at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA).

Extension of employment period for foreign workers who hold a working visit pass (PLKS) in the rehiring program.

In light of the new Omicron (B.1.1.259) variant, some prevention and control measures were taken including travel restrictions for some high risk countries.

The Ministry of Health (MOH) will continue to monitor the development of the new variant and amend any measures from time to time.

Malaysia and Singapore agree to launch Vaccinated Travel Lane (VTL) starting from 29 November 2021. Government is confident that VTL-Land will further enhance bilateral and economic relations between both countries.
