With heavy hearts, we regret to inform that our beloved little girl, Ginger, passed away on October 19th. She tragically suffered a head injury when accidentally struck by a heavy object. Despite our immediate efforts to seek medical help at a local vet, she couldn’t overcome the ordeal.… We met Ginger at a little garden behind The Hatchery Place when she was about 5 months old. We decided to adopt her after she nonchalantly followed us home and stayed with us. Ever since then Ginger had become part of us and The Hatchery Place. She had not only touched our hearts deeply but also everyone who stayed at The Hatchery Place from every corner of the world.

What do we do when we have a coliving member that loves dancing? We get him to teach everyone else!! Today we had a Lindy Hop and Shim Sham taster session with Philipp! We learned 2-3 basic steps and had a lot of fun sweating, doing the moves and laughing at each other's goofiness! Thanks Philipp, and all who came to have some fun exercise! It was a cool Saturday 💕🔥🕺💃👯

Once Upon A Midnight 2016
#onceuponamidnight (OUAM) is a group art exhibition organized by The Hatchery Place, co-hosted with Minut Init Art Social in PJ, Malaysia. The week-long exhibition, which ran at Minut Init Art Social from 27th May till 3rd June 2016, featured an impressive array of artists that included Awang Ketut, Lara Hassan, Budi Citawan, Ashikin M, Nadia Zahari, Amer Halim, James Rivers, Mohamad Aqbar Amin, Shaliza Juanna Alfred, Firdauz Baharudin and Elaine Wong. OUAM was curated by Khaw Vin Vinh, who has been curating, managing galleries and producing different kinds of art for over 20 years. He envisioned the exhibition as an experimental project that combines the different energy of various creative field, namely Visual Art, Art Installation, Sound Installation, Poetry Recital and Music Performances. "I don't see what I was doing this time as curating per se", said Khaw Vin Vinh. "I was guiding a passionate group of people and pushing them to explore their own creative talent." We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who joined us, cheered us, helped and supported us and came for the show!
