Hello guys, thank you for all the words of encouragement and support to our participation in barista competition. In order for us to have a smooth competition preparation while being able to operate at the same time, we would like to slightly change our operation hours just for a temporary period. Here’s our new operation time starting this week until further notice:

Hello! We will be participating MBC preliminary round this week so our shop will be closed from Wednesday (28/2) till Friday (1/3) to prepare and compete. Cny is just around the corner but we have more feelings for the mbc (prelim round) which is happening end of this month 🥶 We are also very sorry about our recent irregular opening hours due to the comp prep and short of hands but hopefully we can be more consistent again after the comp 🙏🏻🥹

Ever since the pandemic, it just feels like time flies like crazy. Before we knew it, 2023 was over in the blink of an eye. A lot has happened throughout the year. There were so many memorable and grateful moments that took place in the coffee shop: amazing people we met, inspiring conversations, interesting coffee knowledge, more delicious coffee, and even new discoveries in ourselves.
Here we are welcoming the new year 2024 with the same of us. There is still a lot for us to do, learn, improve, and discover. We are definitely looking forward to another exciting venture with you this year. We wish you a new year filled with laughter, good health, hope, and the fulfilment of your dreams. Our new house blend is available now. Atap Blend 3.0 consists of 50% Ethiopia washed, 25% Kenya washed and 25% Rwanda washed. Thank you again for always accommodating us and consistently roasting amazing beans for us. The tasting notes are mainly dried figs, rhubarb, and black tea. It’s very nice in both black and white. We can’t wait to let you all try! Please do let us know if you have any feedbacks so we can always adjust and improve as well. Giving our house blend a new look is always an exciting and adventurous journey for us. Hello, coffee folks! Our friend and roaster , will be taking over our filter coffee bar to brew a selection of interesting coffees from UK roasters, sourced from his recent trip. He'll be brewing this coming Friday (14/10) and Saturday (15/10) from 8am to 6pm. They will mostly be filter coffees, with some also available in espresso.
Our coffee shop will continue to operate as usual, serving other espresso-based coffees, non-coffee drinks, and light pastries. Come by and join us! Thank you, and we hope to see you soon! :)

Featuring our recent new coffee toys for the happy barista. Different designs of baskets with portafilter. It’s quite an exciting surprise to find how big of an impact could a basket made in terms of espresso extraction and taste.
After 3 months of usage, we finally feel that we have grasp the rough idea on how to utilise these baskets. We’ve been adapting ourselves with tasting higher extraction shot and we are still trying to make it pleasant and balance. Finding the different sweet spots for everyone including ourselves is tough but it’s definitely a fruitful journey. It makes us understand why sometimes we like and don’t like certain things.
If you were to come to our shop and curious about it next time, you can always ask us to serve you espresso or any espresso based drink with different baskets. Thanks and see you soon! 🤗☕️

Hello coffee folks, after months of consideration (and procrastination), we are finally ready to conduct our first lever espresso machine workshop. In this workshop session, we will share about our learning curve experiences in using our spring lever espresso machine along with it’s coffee extraction mechanism. We will also discuss and demonstrate a few topics covered in The Lever Magazines such as how to prevent channeling, choosing the right pre-infusion, and overview of contact screen. As intimate as our coffee shop size could get, our workshop is only limited to a maximum of 4-5 pax per session. For this round, our workshop is only recommended for beginner or advanced coffee enthusiasts who have basic fundamental knowledge about espresso extraction in order to join the fun.

Another fun day brewing at CAFEC Brewer’s Cup Malaysia 2022. Though we lost it but we still got a lot of inspiration and learnt a lot. Why lever machine?
A lot of people might’ve asked me this multiple times. It’s not practical in a commercial setting, not ideal for consistency, hassle to use and can be dangerous if it’s not handled with care. But I still choose it anyway when I started this coffee shop since 2019 till now. I’m glad that I made this choice because the reward is amazing. So far, my lever machine journey has been fruitful. It changes my perspectives in looking at coffee extractions and everything about coffee in general. The insights that this one piece machine brings to me is insane. Yet, I always find it lonely in this modern day specialty coffee settings.
I was introduced to the when they liked one of our lever machine post in 2020 and we started following them since then. When I noticed them started to make a magazine all about lever makes me even more excited. After months of considerations, finally we had the chance to bring it into Malaysia. Hopefully these magazines may spark a bit more interest and inspiration for us to start “pulling a shot”.
