IS KOSIBAY BORDER OPEN- WILL IT OPEN? WHEN?
No
Kosibay Border is NOT open. Nobody knows when IT will open and IF it will open. This is dependent on the NCCC and Presidential announcements.
THE ONLY BORDER OPEN BETWEEN SA AND MOZAMBIQUE IS LEBOMBO/RESSANO GARCIA.
Giriyondo and Pafuri also remain closed until further notice.
WHAT ARE THE HOURS OF THE LEBOMBO BORDER AND WHEN WILL IS BE 24/7?
Lebombo Border opens at 06:00 and closes at 24:00.
It seems highly unlikely that it would be 24/7 this year due to the curfew in place.
WHERE CAN I GET 3RD PARTY INSURANCE?
Online via the DriveMoz website
WHERE CAN I BUY DRIVEMOZ STICKERS?
DriveMoz stckers can be bought from our vendor network or via the online shop. On our drivemoz.co.za website you will find the link to the map with vendors as well as the link tou the online shop under the FAQ section. Phone vendors to confirm stock.
WHERE CAN I BUY A LEGALLY REGISTERED MOZAMBIQUE SIM AND DATA?
Mozambique Vodacom sim card and data can be bougth from the online shop and Eureka Lifestyle in Centurion. Detail under the FAQ Section on our website drivemoz.co.za

WHICH BORDERS WITH ESWATINI (SWAZILAND) ARE OPEN ?
For Swaziland/Eswatini the only border open to Moz is Namaacha (also called - Lomahasha).
Borders that are currently open to enter from SA to Eswatini are:
Golela (Lavumisa)
Mananga (near Komatipoort)
Oshoek (Ngwenya)
Jeppes Reef (Matsamo)
Mahamba (near Piet Retief)

MEAT
We are not aware of any restrictions currently being imposed (See above No Meat via Eswatini)
Remain within the duty-free allowance, currently at MT12500 (R2800 per passport holder) . Keep slips to prove if asked. Support local where possible.
CAN I TAKE MEAT AND FRESH PRODUCE VIA ESWATINI?
NO! No meat and fresh produce (vegetables/fruit) permitted via Eswatini.( - Search the group "Swaziland Meat for suggested butchers and places to buy meat en route)
FOR HOW LONG IS THE COVID TEST VALID?
Tests must not be older than 72hrs from time of result and are valid for 14 days from the date of issue of the test RESULT and, therefore, you can return to SA or Moz using the same test result you entered on, within the 14 day window.
If you stay longer than 14 days you need to do a test in Mozambique before returing.
MUST CHILDREN ALSO GET THE COVID TEST?
To enter Mozambique - Children below 11 years are exempt
To enter South Aftica - Children below 5 years are exempt
WHICH COVID TESTs are ACCEPTABLE FOR SA?
SA accepts the PCR and ANTIGEN TEST. THE ANTIBODY TESTS OFFERED BY MANY PHARMACIES ARE NOT ACCEPTED.
WHICH COVID TESTS ARE ACCEPTABLE FOR MOZAMBIQUE?
MOZAMBIQUE accepts the PCR and ANTIGEN TEST. THE ANTIBODY TESTS ARE NOT ACCEPTED
WHICH COVID TEST IS ACCEPTABLE FOR ESWATINI/SWAZILAND?
Eswatini ONLY accepts the PCR test.
WHICH COVID TEST IS ACCEPTABLE FOR ZIMBABWE?
Zimbabwe only accepts PCR test not older that 48 hours.
WHERE CAN I TEST IN SOUTH AFRICA?
At any laborotory such as Lancet etc closest to you.

CAN THE RAPID ANTIGEN TEST BE DONE AT THE BORDER?
Yes. But reports indicate that the testing station may arrive late (after 10 am) and the queue (with a number system) may result in having to return the following day.
I HEAR DRIVEMOZ HAS A ATIGEN TEST STATION IN MALELANE. IS THAT TRUE?
Yes DriveMoz has a Antigent test station in Malelane. This testing facility is an approved centre and conforms with DOH requirements.

OTHER AREAS: According to reports tests can be done in Inhambane and Vilanculis, but tests are sent to Maputo for processing and this can result in delays.

ARE BORDER VISAS ISSUED FOR NON SADC CITISZENS?
Yes, border visas for Non SADC citizens are issued at Ressano Garcia. Cost approx R850
