As the founder of Tchambalakate Culture & Agriculture and as a German woman living in Mozambique, it is an honor for me to experience and have the opportunity to showcase the complexity of Mozambican culture and tradition in agriculture.
My entrepreneurial journey has centered around advancing regenerative organic agriculture and fostering intercultural connections. The article reflects our companies dedication to empowering local farmers by combining cultural heritage and indigenous knowledge with sustainable farming practices, always with the goal of strengthening communities and regenerating our environment.

Ohhhhh vor genau 10 Jahren habe ich hier auf fb ganz stolz erstmals die Webseite meines Projekts Tchambalakate veröffentlicht.
Das Wort bedeutet „Zitronengras“ auf Xichangana einer der über 40 Sprachen, die in Mosambik gesprochen werden.
Anfangs gings um die Förderung von kulturellem Austausch mit Fokus auf Musik, Tanz und bildende Kunst aus Mosambik.
Nach und nach verlagerte sich der Fokus dann auch auf nachhaltige Landwirtschaft und im weiteren Verlauf habe ich als Auditorin für Bio-Landwirtschaft gearbeitet und ich durfte eine Machbarkeitstudie zum Bio-Cashew-Anbau durchführen.
Heute heißt die kleine Firma ganz einfach „Tchambalakate Culture & Agriculture", weil diese beiden Themen so eng beieinander liegen und so verwoben sind.
Seit einigen Jahren vernetzen wir - bisher ehrenamtlich - Agroforst-InteressentInnen und PraktikerInnen in Mosambik mit dem Ziel diese effektive und umweltschonende landwirtschaftliche Methode bekannter zu machen. Siehe: AMO Agrofloresta
Am heutigen 10-jährigen Jubiläum möchte ich mich bei allen Partnern und Geschäftsfreunden recht herzlich bedanken. Auf die nächsten 10 Jahre! ❤️

Our organic harvest in June 2023: delicious sugar cane, banana, lacuna/velvet bean (mucuna pruriens), spinach, kakana (momordica balsamina), pineapple, rapini “tsunga” (brassica rapa var. rufo) and hibiscus 🌺
I was invited by GIZ to presented my 🌳feasibility study for organic cashew production in Mozambique🌳 at the "1st National Consultation Meeting of actors of the cashew value chain in 🇲🇿" which took place in Nampula on 8th and 9th of June 2023.
It was a great opportunity to promote organic agriculture in the name of Ecocert South Africa and to network with all stakeholders, meet friends and new people interested in regenerative agriculture practices. Thanks for the invite and great organization to Mirko Hugo Gamez Arias and team.
The bottom line is: Regenerative techniques economically pay off in the long run as they improve soil life and soil health and thus naturally strengthen the resilience of the cashew trees against pests and diseases.

For 2023 I pledge to hug more trees, plant more trees, advocate for trees, found an association for Agroforestry and devote myself fully to reforestation and the regeneration of degraded soils by practicing and promoting regenerative agriculture in Mozambique!

Since I’ve started to do agroforestry on my plot in Katembe, I’ve worked on improving soil fertility by using regenerative agriculture practices like no tilling, permanent soil cover, mulching and planting in great density!
See the result! This banana tree was planted a little over two years ago! I’ll soon have my first ever own banana harvest. What a joy! Thanks and praises to Mother Nature! One love from Mozambique ❤️

MOZGROW panel talk about „Agriculture and environmental sustainability“ on 6th of July at at 3D Arena Katembe, Mozambique.
I’ve participated in my role as Ecocert auditor for organic agriculture and as consultant for ecologically, socially and economically viable projects.
I was able to express my conviction that agroforestry will help many subsistence farmers to be independent without having to buy expensive inputs. Regenerative agriculture practices improve the soil quality and the yield, increase nutrition, health and thus overall quality of life!
Thanks to Francisco Mandlate journalisr and founder of Chimanimani coffee for opening this topic and agroforestry to a broader audience! Congrats to Faruk Tavares for his presentation about the benefits of syntropic agriculture & agroforestry!
We are shocked to hear that our great friend Stephan Schulmeister suddenly passed away. it was him who made the link to our producer George Miller, his son Jahbar I and the Firehouse Crew in Jamaica for Ras Haitrm and he therefore was the key to our entire album recordings for “Go and Tell the World” there... It is important to understand what is the place that the Synthetic Agriculture occupies within the conceptual universe that we already know, what are the points of connection and the peculiarities both in the practices and in the logic that guides them.
Who is Ernst Götsch?
Ernst Götsch is a Swiss farmer and researcher, creator of the set of principles and techniques that make up the Synthetic Agriculture. With more than 40 years of experience and achievements, Götsch has developed an agriculture that reconciles agricultural production and recovery of degraded areas, based on processes that mimic natural regeneration and the syntropic processes of life on the planet.
