The sales funnel is a representation of the journey that a potential customer takes from the first contact with the company to the purchase of a product / service.

The funnel is made up of stages and triggers whose objective is to support the buying process.

At the top of the funnel, learning and awareness takes place. Where the visitor becomes aware that he has a need / problem. At this stage, the main role of a company is to educate them in ways to pass on credibility and turn them into leads.

Leads are visitors who are more aware of their problems and interested in understanding how to solve them. It is not time to sell yet - help them with tips and strategies.

Opportunities are those leads who have already understood their problems and decide to look for a solution. That’s the stage that they are ready to be approached by the sales team.

The funnel ends when these Opportunities make a purchase and become Customers.

With the pandemic for example; a) better digitized companies, whether in operations or communication, have taken the lead. b) Companies need to have a more human and less commercial approach. c) The dispute for people's attention has tripled and with that the has risen, making it even more important to provide valuable content and pass on confidence before making a sale.

There is an infinite number of examples. The most important thing is to be aware of are the market changes and what challenges or opportunities they may bring to your business

Although one of the hottest topics currently is the digital transformation and how various companies that underestimated its power did not survive the pandemic, it is not uncommon to find managers who still question the importance of social media.

The answer is simple: sales sustain the business and you cannot have sales if consumers do not know that you even exist. Today, the simplest and fastest way of promoting a service or a product is through social media - because that’s where the majority of people spend most of their time.

However, it is important to take note that its usage is not limited to lead generation.

We have clients that are extremely B2B, like factories for example, where their sales do not occur or come from any social media channel. In such cases our work is mostly for branding.

Social media is a powerful channel to actively shaping a brand and communicate its ’s to the market.

With operations starting just now in January, Ame Kimbu was by far our main challenge at the beginning of 2021.

The company, which specializes in real estate mediation and valuation, buying, selling and leasing of properties, started with just two employees and Kuenda.

Ame Kimbu needed a brand positioning that reflected the company’s constant evolution and key differentiators, as well as an enhancement of its sales force.

Since we use the methodology, we started with photo shoots to use in the production of educational content about the sector and sharing the company's property portfolio.

Through a series of Campaigns, we are working on lead acquisition: customers and potential partners and from there we centralized all the activities at the company’s digital channels as well, passing them to consultants only after qualification - reducing time wasted with those who are not really interested and improving conversion rates.

Although there is still a lot of work to be done, we are confident that soon we will have one of our biggest case studies coming from this project!

Our advice this week is for entrepreneurs who, despite knowing the importance of Branding and having a solid Visual Identity, are often paralyzed in the design of their logos.

In some cases this is because they’re unable to express their ideas to a graphic designer / agency to execute or they lack the capital to hire an expert.

Regardless of your current condition, the tools above will help. Some of them are completely free, available on the web and extremely simple to use.

1. Put Your Audience First
When you know who your ideal, target audience is and what their general view of the world is like, you are one step closer to delivering to them the kind of content they would like to consume.

2. Talk to them
Once you know where and who they are, start interacting with your audience. Maybe it's simply sharing their content on social media or answering a question.

3. Simple and meaningful
It is important to make sure your design, articles and infographics are share-worthy. If consumers want to tell their friends about a particular piece of content you posted, they will be able to do so fairly easily.

4. Humanise your content
By humanising your content, you humanise your brand. You break the wall between you and your audience and come across as a credible source that understands the needs of your audience exactly.

5. Use Emotion To Inspire
People enjoy knowing that there are others out there facing the same problems and even enjoying the same things that they are.

With DaBanda, our challenge was to define a communication strategy for the launch of the platform. As always, the first step was to understand the brand, the essence and its values. DaBanda Classificados is an authentic and traditional brand which promotes security to its users at every stage of the buying process. This was all we needed to find a spot for DaBanda in the among of the biggest players.

DaBanda Classificados is an Angolan e-commerce that facilitates consumer-to-consumer and business-to-consumer sales through its platform. Its development was inspired by a huge market demand right now and the closing down of the popular marketplace “OLX” in Angola.

For DaBanda we defined what the User Journey would be, created interaction strategies for each contact point and a recurring online advertising strategy. In the long run, the goal is to have most of the website traffic arriving via organic search, so we have been collaborating with DaBanda’s team and web developers on SEO improvements to ensure that the site can be found in the first page of Google.
