Namibia Leak Detection and Amalgamated Group:

Namibia Leak Detection & Visual Rodding was involved with Amalgamated Group of Companies until November 2019. Namibia Leak Detection & Visual Rodding is no longer part of Amalgamated Group. From February 2016 until November 2020, Namibia Leak Detection was a separate business entity with separate bank accounts but advertised as part of the Amalgamated Group. Cobus Blaauw is the owner of Namibia Leak Detection & Visual Rodding.

Namibia Leak Detection, Plumbing and Electrical Services:

Namibia Leak Detection & Visual Rodding started trading as Namibia Leak Detection & Plumbing Services on the 1st of January 2020. We added new services to our current portfolio to provide holistic plumbing and mechanical service solutions. New services include all general plumbing, electrical and solar geyser installations and repairs, toilet installations and repairs, pool and whirlpool bath repairs as well as the supply and installation of state-of-the-art filtration systems. On the 14th of September 2020 we appointed a qualified electrician in order to extent our services to meet the demands of our customers and a growing market for one stop services.

Namibia Leak Detection, Plumbing & Electrical Services and Smart Group Technologies:

Cobus Blaauw is a managing member of Smart Group Technologies, which developed the first and only Namibian Smart Water Meter. We developed the meter because we could not find a Prepaid or Smart Water Meter outside Namibia that could meet local requirements. The function of the Smart Water Meter is leak detection and SMS notifications, remote water isolation to avoid water losses, remote consumption monitoring, water consumption management and prepaid meter functions. The Smart Meter can be connected to an existing compatible municipal water meter. We have also developed a Smart Electricity Meter.

Cobus Blaauw is the owner of Namibia Leak Detection & Plumbing Services. He has a B Tech Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a B Tech Business Administration - both obtained from UNISA. He has 20 years’ experience in water and wastewater services (pump systems, purification systems and plumbing), preventative maintenance, mechanical consulting (air-conditioning, fuel pump stations, lifts, fire services and hot water systems), construction and fire risk assessments in Namibia and the United Kingdom.

Our administration personnel are friendly and helpful and always strive to provide the best possible service to our clients. We aim to provide detailed quotations and invoices specifying the materials used. Our invoices provide a description of work done and findings if an investigation was carried out.

We also provide free quotations.

Our foremen, plumbers, electrician, and technicians are trained and equipped to handle any type of job within their field of specialization. We have recognised expertise and qualifications in both commercial and industrial plumbing works, pool and whirlpool bath installations, maintenance, and repairs, as well as mechanical engineering. We also offer a wide range of services in the construction, renovations, maintenance, and wastewater fields.
