Parenting is a serious business. My daughter is the quiet type but you see my son, he climbs anything with height in the house, chair, table, TV stand, window, etc. Last week, he stood on my laptop to take something from my reading table. We pray for him to sleep, in fact when he sleeps, it's a relief for us. Like oh my God, he is finally asleep. When awake, he wants to touch everything, climb everything, hit everything. A time will come, and that won't happen. Then, we will be his teacher, we expect him to do everything we ask without explaining. Imagine trying to explain to a 2-year-old child why he should not enter your neighbor's house because their father is a drug addict and the mother sleeps outside. You will confuse the child. At that stage, he has not developed the reasoning capacity to understand the why. This is the stage to take in instructions hook line and sinker. If we fail at this stage, society will fill that void for us making it hard for us to handle the next stage of our life. At the second stage, that is when the child starts developing reasoning ability, and that's when they start asking a meaningful and meaningless question. We are not supposed to be his teacher, but rather his mentor, we don't expect him to swallow everything we say hook line, and sinker without asking questions. His inquiring mind has become sharp, he will want to know why you ask him not to visit the neighbor, and he will want to know why you ask him not to hang out with some boys in the neighborhood. Failure to give a clear explanation to these lingering questions will push him to explore. It's very important as parents we recognize different stages in our child's development and how to handle each stage. Some children lost their confidence and boldness from their parents. This business advice will save you In 2018, i got an office for my consulting business, I invested N1,500,000 into that office. The office was looking tushed and I felt good, I can now refer people to come to my office and visit me. That idea of come to my office is thrilling you know. I paid N200,000 for one year rent, unfortunately for me, I couldn't pay for another year. I bought big generator and opened another laundry service close to it with industrial washing machines, I employed five workers. The feeling was thrilling, everywhere was bubbling with activity, the first month we broke even but from second month, trouble started brewing, mostly human problem. My workers steal my laundry materials, marketers stopped making account, expenses increased more than my income. Within six month, everything come to a grid lock. That's how I closed down the office and pack into my house. Since then, I have been operating from a corner in my house. I conduct my business meetings at hotels, eateries and hubs. Some months back, I got a new and bigger office, renovation work is going on there, what you are seeing in the video is the reception hall. This is a new phase for our business consulting. What's my point, Ok listen very well. Start small, no matter how wonderful you think that idea is, please start small. Even if you have all the money available, start small and incrementally expand as you watch the market. You are allowed to think big, but start small and grow big. I started very big but couldn't fit into the vacuum I created. Big expenses with little revenue. If you start big, your expenses will be big and because you are just starting, you haven't pulled enough market share to offset your expenses, what you will have is expenses growing bigger than your income. Let me shock you, every wealthy man you see, in any industry that is doing very well prays. They either pray to God or to Satan, they worship something, their allegiance is to something. You can't go high in life and create impact without the help of a spirit, an alter must speak for you. Those things are not advertised on Facebook, the foolish argue what they don't understand. There are thresholds in wealth you can't cross if you are neutral, you must pray to something. Mark prays to something, Elon prays to something, Bill Gate prays to something. This earth was not designed to sustain itself, no no. Many organization have necromancers, fortune tellers, palm readers, warlocks as their executives and non executives director. They wear suit to meetings, you think you can just rise and do the right thing in that office without consulting them in the office, think again, you will be digging your grave.
