SENATOR UDENDE FELICITATES ZONE A, CHRISTIANS ON THE OCCASION OF THE BIRTH OF OUR LORD JESUS CHRIST

Christmas Celebration symbolises love, peace, care and compassion for humanity, especially the weak, vulnerable and less-privileged.

As Christians, Christmas is very significant in our lives as it is a moment of reflection on the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ and the reason he came. This should reflect in the way we treat and relate with one another because the divine life of Christ is now operative in us.

As we celebrate this blissful season, we should bear in mind that the greatest command Jesus gave to his followers is to love one another. If we endeavor to imbibe this important virtue, zone A and the entire Benue State will be a better place, as love overcomes all things, including hatred, violence and other vices.

I urge you all to use this period of Christmas to rekindle acts of love, kindness, forgiveness and compassion to one another. And to extend the hand of love to the vulnerable in the society.

In like manner, I enjoin you all to reflect on the positive tenets that unites us as a people rather than those that divides us.

May the good Lord give us the grace to love and live in harmony with one another as exemplified by our saviour, Jesus Christ, whose birth we celebrate today. And may the love of our Lord Jesus envelope us as we celebrate this day!

Merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year in advance to the good people of Benue North-East and Christians worldwide.

Merry Christmas my beloved constituents and friends. Today we are celebrating Christmas the first coming of Jesus. I wish all of you a happy celebration. But note that He came to give us salvation and He will be back again to take His children home. If comes tomorrow will you be raptured with Him or left out? Once again merry Christmas and Happy New year in advance.

"Happy Birthday to me! Today, I celebrate another year of my beautiful existence. Thank God Almighty for his unwavering faithfulness throughout my journey. Also, a heartfelt thank you to the amazing people of Zone A Senatorial District for their constant support and encouragement. May this year be filled with God's blessings and fulfillment. Amen

This evening I was announced by the Senate President, His Excellency Godswill Obot Akpabio at the plenary as Senate standing committee Chairman on anti-corruption and financial Crimes.

I am also the Vice Chairman of the privatization committee.

Together, we shall build Zone "A" and Nigeria of our dream.

Stop the killings

"Those who carried out the Akpunna attacks should listen to their inner conscience, they should embrace the government olive branch and give peace a chance, they should pity themselves and our brothers in Sankera who have not had peace for almost a decade now, - those who are armed themselves need to rest; they have been on the run since 2015 to date, we are sure that government is willing to take a holistic approach to solve these problems once and for all. I also want to appeal to the youths from the affected community to resist the urge for retaliation in order not to scale up the already deteriorated situation- vengeance is of the lord. Very soon we will converge an extraordinary assembly of Ukum and the entire Sankera constituency for an extended discussion on security and relationship within the axis "

EASTER: UDENDE FELICITATES WITH CHRISTIANS, CONDEMN KILLINGS IN BENUE

The senator-elect for Benue North East Senatorial District, Rt. Hon. Emmanuel Udende, has congratulated the people of Benue North East on the occasion of this year's Easter celebration even as he appeals to all Nigerians to pray for peace in Benue state.

He says as a preacher of the Bible, he knows that salvation will not be possible if Christ did not resurrect from the dead as prophesied meaning that the occasion of Easter is an important one in the life of every christian who desires heaven after the earthly journey.

The Ikuen I Ukum condemns in strong terms the renewed unprovoked killings of innocent Benue citizens shortly after the general elections, beginning from Kwande to Otukpo and yesterday, in Guma Local Government of the state where hundreds have been killed and thousands displaced with property and farmlands worth millions of naira destroyed.

He calls on president Mohammadu Buhari to give a marching order to all security agencies to halt the killings and restore the sanctity of human life in the state and particularly Zone A where he comes from.

The Former Commissioner enjoins the people of zone A to remain Law abiding and good citizens in their day to day activities.

While promising to give the people of Benue North East quality representation at the National Assembly, he calls on his constituents to use the occasion to pray for him and all other leaders as the Bible entails.
