What do you do when you have restless legs? 😭 Not every person you see walking around aimlessly at night is up to some mischief. Infact, that 'waka waka' might be therapeutic for them.

Restless Legs Syndrome is a psychiatric diagnosis characterised by:
U - Urge to move the legs often accompanied by leg discomfort
R - Rest worsens the urge to move
G - Getting up and moving improves the urge
E - Evening or night worsens the symptoms.
This might be the problem if every other similar ailment has been ruled out.

80-90% of persons with restless legs syndrome have periodic limb movements during sleep. If you are sleep on the same bed with them, you may have accused them of kicking you while they were sleeping.

You may notice them pacing the room in the evenings. Sometimes, as evening dey reach, e don trek go club, dey dance. Most times, that continuous dancing na therapy for dem legs.

Can it be treated? Yes, some medications are very effective in treating this. If you know anyone suffering from this, encourage them to see a doctor. 🙏❤️

PS: No be all 'waka waka' be restless legs o! 🤣
If you are trekking from Lagos to Abuja to congratulate Buhari, leave your doctor out of it. 😁

PPS: Pacing around the room can achieve the same thing as a long distance trekking journey at night. Unless na party jollof and gbedu you dey find. 😜 Ahem.

HEALTH PROBLEMS ASSOCIATED WITH UNFORGIVENESS.

On a serious note, do you know that,

👉Not forgiving others can result in, or aggravate health conditions such as headache, high blood pressure, heart attack, ulcer, stroke or paralyses, Cancer and arthritis among others.

👉 Unforgiveness is classified in medical books as a disease. According to Dr. Steven Sandiford, Chief of Surgery at the cancer treatment centers of America, refusing to forgive makes people sick and keep them that way. Harbouring negative emotions such as Anger and Hatred create a state of Chronic Anxiety.

👉Chronic anxiety predictably produces excess Adrenaline and Cortisol which depletes the production of natural killer cells, which is your body's foot soldier in the fight against Cancer.

Now i ask, wouldn't you rather forgive? Am sure you know the answer.

ForgiveAlways.

Tips to Manage High Blood Pressure 🩺

Are you struggling with high blood pressure and seeking ways to manage it effectively? Here are some expert-recommended tips to help you keep your blood pressure under control. Remember, these tips should not replace medical advice, but they can complement your treatment plan and promote a healthier lifestyle.

2. Monitor Your Blood Pressure Regularly:
Make it a habit to measure your blood pressure regularly using a reliable blood pressure monitor. Tracking your numbers will help you understand your condition better and enable you to make necessary adjustments to your lifestyle or medication as advised by your healthcare professional.

3. Adopt a Heart-Healthy Diet:
Embrace a balanced and nutritious diet that is low in sodium (salt), saturated fats, and cholesterol. Increase your intake of fruits, vegetables, whole grains, lean proteins, and low-fat dairy products.

4. Maintain a Healthy Weight:
Being overweight or obese increases the strain on your cardiovascular system, including your blood vessels and heart. Aim to achieve and maintain a healthy weight by following a balanced diet and engaging in regular physical activity.

5. Stay Active:
Engage in regular aerobic exercise such as brisk walking, swimming, cycling, or dancing. Aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity activity or 75 minutes of vigorous activity per week, as recommended by health authorities. Physical activity helps improve cardiovascular health, reduce blood pressure, and manage stress.

6. Limit Alcohol Consumption:
Excessive alcohol consumption can raise blood pressure and interfere with the effectiveness of hypertension medications. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. Men should limit themselves to two standard drinks per day, while women should have no more than one standard drink per day.

7. Manage Stress:
Chronic stress can contribute to high blood pressure. Find healthy ways to manage stress.
Stay tuned 👌

Does cuff size affect blood pressure readings?

Using a blood pressure cuff that's too large or too small can give you inaccurate blood pressure readings.

When you measure your blood pressure at home/office, it's important to use the proper size cuff.

The Kiptrack 2 in 1 Blood Glucose and Blood Pressure Monitor has a large (16.5 - 23.6") cuff that will fit most arm sizes. This implies that, most people with large upper arms do not need to spend EXTRA money on wide cuffs.

Autism Spectrum Disorder is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. This education helps us to know what Autism Spectrum Disorder is, and how to relate with them.

spectrum disorder (ASD) is a developmental disability caused by differences in the brain. People with ASD often have problems with social communication and interaction, and restricted or repetitive behaviors or interests. They may also have different ways of learning, moving, or paying attention. It is important to note that some people without ASD might also have some of these symptoms. But for people with ASD, these characteristics can make life very challenging

Autistic children become violent when they feel their needs are not met or that no one understands them. Hence, they vent their anger on self or on others.

Kindly know that they can be controlled. That someone is autistic does not mean he should be allowed to kìll anyone and burn down the home. They act out of full consciousness to vent their anger. Taking care of them needs understanding of their inadequacy and taking that into consideration to make them feel loved and appreciated.

Their anger is not borne out of autocontrol. They CHOOSE to do it. Therefore, they can also be made to understand that actions have consequences. This is not a case of cerebral palsy, A.K.A imbecility.
